Burns Blue are a British hard rock group formed by former Ultravox singer Sam Blue and former Dare/Ten guitarist Vinny Burns. Joining the project was FM drummer Pete Jupp and Wishbone Ash bassist Bob Skeat. Blue and Burns had first worked together when they were both in Ultravox. Blue has also performed on Burns' solo album The Journey.

"Holiday" is a song by English rapper Dizzee Rascal, released as the third single from his fourth studio album, Tongue n' Cheek. It was produced by Calvin Harris, with chorus vocals by R&B singer Chrome. Harris originally wrote the song for girl group, The Saturdays, but it was rejected. The song was released digitally on 23 August 2009, with a physical copy that followed on 31 August 2009. The single debuted in the UK at number-one upon initial release, bringing Dizzee's total of number-one singles to three, as well as marking the fourth top ten hit and twelfth top forty hit from the rapper.
Daniel Pearce is an English singer, songwriter and actor who was a finalist on the ITV reality TV show Popstars: The Rivals. He won a place in the British boy band One True Voice, who subsequently released two top ten singles, "Sacred Trust"/"After You're Gone" and "Shakespeare's Words". Pearce, an arranger and co-writer of some of their songs, left the group in summer 2003, shortly before the band split up. In September 2009, he auditioned for the 2009 series of The X Factor, but failed to progress as far as the live finals.

The song was released on 16 June 2013 as a digital download in the United Kingdom as the lead single from his fifth studio album The Fifth (2013). Dizzee originally had producers Jamin Wilcox and Tim Anderson singing the chorus but the label wanted Robbie Williams as a better business option due to his notoriety. Wilcox however did sing on the song "Life keeps moving on.
