Samar Ben Koelleb (born 15 November 1995) is a Tunisian athlete who competes in both shot put and discus for her country. She won the silver medal in the women's F41 shot put at the 2016 Summer Paralympics, and bronze medals in both sports at the 2017 World Para Athletics Championships.
Born on 15 November 1995 in Tunisia, Samar Ben Koelleb went on to compete for her nation in both discuss and shot put. [1] Ben Koelleb competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. Taking part in the F41 shot put on the first day of the games, she threw a distance of 8.36 metres (27.4 ft) to win the silver medal behind fellow Tunisian Raoua Tlili with a throw of 10.19 metres (33.4 ft). [2] She also competed in the F41 discus throw competition, but fell outside of the podium positions which were taken up by Irish athlete Niamh McCarthy in silver, and fellow Tunisians Fathia Amaimia in bronze, and Tlili who once again won the gold medal. At the World Para Athletics Grand Prix, held in 2017 in Tunis, Ben Koelleb once again won the silver medal in the F41 discus competition on day one. She threw 8.59 metres (28.2 ft), only beaten once again by Tlili with 9.7 metres (32 ft). [4] Later that year, she competed at the World Para Athletics Championships in London, at the site of the 2012 Paralympic Games. On this occasion, Ben Koelleb won two medals, a bronze in each of the F41 shot put and discus. [5]
Tunisia made its Paralympic Games debut at the 1988 Summer Paralympics in Seoul. It was represented by a single athlete, Monaam Elabed, who won two bronze medals in athletics. The country has competed in every subsequent edition of the Summer Paralympics, although it has never taken part in the Winter Paralympics. Tunisian competitors have only ever taken part in athletics events, with the sole exception of Dalila Tabai who competed in powerlifting in 2000.
Raoua Tlili is a Paralympian athlete from Tunisia competing mainly in category F41 shot put and discus events and is a multi gold medalist at the Paralympics.
Menggenjimisu or, in Mongolian, Mönggönjimis is a Paralympian athlete of short stature from China competing in category F40 shot put and discus events. Menggenjimisu won a gold medal at the 2008 Summer Paralympics F40 Discus competing under the name Jimisu Menggen. At the London Paralympics she was billed as Genjimisu Meng.
Zhang Liangmin is a blind Paralympian athlete from China competing mainly in throwing events.
Guy Nicholas Henly is an Australian Paralympic athlete. He currently competes in discus and shot put and has won medals at the 2013, 2015, 2017, 2019 and 2023 World Para Athletics Championships. He represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics and 2020 Tokyo Paralympics and has been selected for the 2024 Paris Paralympics.
Claire Keefer is a short stature athlete from Australia. She represented Australia at the 2016 Rio Paralympics in athletics where she won a bronze medal. She has won a silver and bronze medal at the World Para Athletics Championships.
T41 is disability sport classification for disability athletics. It is used in track athlete and has a sister classification F41 for field athletes. This is a classification for athletes with short stature.

Wildan Nezar Al-Nukhailawi is a Paralympian athlete from Iraq competing in the F41 classification throwing events. He won a bronze medal in the javelin at the 2012 Summer Paralympics in London and followed this four years later with a silver in the same event at the 2016 Games in Rio de Janeiro.
Niamh McCarthy is an Irish Paralympic discus thrower, competing in the F41 classification, a classification for persons of reduced stature. She is the 2018 European champion in the event at her classification and, as of August 2018, the European record holder at 31.76 metres.
Lauritta Onye is a Paralympian athlete who competes in F40 classification throwing events. She competed at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro winning gold in the F40 shot put. Onye is also an actress, performing under the name Laury White.
Martha Sandoval Gustafson is a Mexican-Canadian Paralympic medallist in table tennis, swimming, and athletics. As a Mexican Paralympian, Gustafson won a total of twelve medals, which includes three golds at the 1976 Summer Paralympics and two golds and the 1980 Summer Paralympics. After she moved to Canada in 1981, Gustafson won six golds and one silver at the 1984 Summer Paralympics for Canada. In 2020, Gustafson became part of the Canadian Disability Hall of Fame.
Lara Baars is a Dutch Paralympic athlete competing in shot put and discus throw events. She was born with achondroplasia, a form of dwarfism. She won the gold medal in the women's shot put F40 event at the 2024 Summer Paralympics held in Paris, France.
Renata Śliwińska is a Polish Paralympic athlete competing in F40-classification discus throw and shot put events. She won the gold medal in the women's shot put F40 event at the 2020 Summer Paralympics held in Tokyo, Japan. In this event, she is also a two-time gold medalist at the World Para Athletics European Championships and a three-time medalist, including gold, at the World Para Athletics Championships.
Fathia Amaimia is a Tunisian Paralympic athlete of short stature. She competes in F41-classification throwing events. She represented Tunisia at the 2016 Summer Paralympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil and she won the bronze medal in the women's discus throw F41 event. She also competed in the women's shot put F41 event where she finished in 6th place.
Rabia Cirit is a Turkish female para-athlete competing in the F41 disability class of shot put and discus throw events.
Tom Habscheid is a Paralympic athlete from Luxembourg. He is a two-time silver medalist at the World Para Athletics Championships and a six-time medalist at the World Para Athletics European Championships.
Charlotte Bolton is a Canadian para-athletics athlete who competes in F41 throwing events. She has won a total of 29 medals at the World Dwarf Games and won bronze in discus at the 2023 Parapan American Games.
