Sandeep Shetty (born 23 July) is an Indian actor known for his roles in Tulu Cinemas like Dhand, [1] Madime, Ekka Saka and many Dramas and stage performances. [2] [3] He, along with his team, Prashamsa won Bale Telipale, a stand-up comedy contest show on Namma TV for three consecutive years in Coastal Karnataka. [4] Sandeep has performed more than 1000 stage shows in international locations such as Muscat, Dubai, Kuwait and Bahrain, as well as locations within India including Bengaluru, Mumbai and Pune. [5]

Early life

Sandeep Shetty was born on 23 July at Manibettu a place next to Shirva village of Udupi District. Sandeep, who holds BBM and MBA degrees, is the son of Sunder Shetty and Rathna Shetty. Sandeep started his acting career in 1998, writing and directing a Tulu drama titled 'Nathuna Paru'. [5]

Udupi City in Karnataka, India

Udupi, otherwise spelt Udipi and also known as Odipu, is a city in the Indian state of Karnataka. Udupi is situated about 55 km (34 mi) north of the educational, commercial and industrial hub of Mangalore and about 422 km (262 mi) west of state capital Bangalore by road.

Chairman from 1962 to 1969 resulting in growth of Vijaya bank. and then remained as full-time Chairman till 1978. Under the Chairmanship of Shri Mulki Sunder Ram Shetty, Vijaya Bank steadily grew into a large All India Bank with nine smaller banks merging with it during 1963-1968. During the year 1965, the Bank registered its own logo.

Bola Chittaranjan Das Shetty

Bola Chittaranjan Shetty is a famous Tulu and Kannada writer, who was the president of the 16th Mangalore Taluk Kannada Sahitya Sammelan held in year 2010. He died at his residence on 7 August 2016, and his cremation was held at Kuthar Guthu. He was 72.

Tulu cinema Tulu language film industry

Tulu cinema, also known as Coastalwood, is a part of Indian cinema. The Tulu film industry produces five to seven films annually. The first Tulu film was Enna Thangadi released in 1971. Usually, earlier, these films were released in theatres across the Tulu Nadu region. But currently the Tulu film industry has grown to such an extent that films are being released simultaneously in Mangalore, Udupi, Mumbai, Bangalore and Gulf countries. It has successfully completed 470 days at PVR Cinemas in Mangalore.

Dhand is a Tulu film directed by Ranjith Bajpe and produced by Shodhan Prasad under the banner of Sandhya Creations. It stars Arjun Kapikad, Sandeep Shetty, Anoop Sagar, Deepak Paladka, Gopinath Bhat, Umesh Mijar, Ranjan Boloor, Shilpa Suvarna, Anvitha Sagar, and Subhash Bangera in the lead roles.

Bhojaraj Vamanjoor is an Indian actor, who predominantly works in Tulu theatre and Tulu film industry. Vamanjoor is also a Yakshagana Artist. He is one of the active members of the Tulu drama troupe "Cha Parka Kalavidher Kudla" along with Devadas Kapikad, Naveen D. Padil and Aravind Bolar. He can be seen in most Tulu plays directed by Devadas Kapikad.

Pattanaje is a 2017 Indian Tulu language film directed and Produced by Thonse Vijay Kumar Shetty, under the banner of KalaJagattu Creations. The film stars Shivadhwaj, Surya Rao, Reshma Shetty and Kaajal Kunder in main roles. Senior actors Chethan Rai, Mani, Sundar Rai, Mandara, Praveen Markame and Sita Kote also acted in the movie.
