Sangtar Heer, more commonly known as just Sangtar, is a Punjabi singer, music composer, songwriter and poet. He has written songs and made music for many singers such as Kamal Heer, Manmohan Waris and Debi Makhsoospuri. His older brother Manmohan Waris and younger brother Kamal Heer are both Punjabi Pop\Folk singers.

Manmohan Waris is an Indian Punjabi folk/pop singer. He is the elder brother of record producer Sangtar and singer Kamal Heer. Waris is considered one of the most gifted singers of Punjabi folk music.

Rabbi Shergill is an Indian musician well known for his debut album Rabbi and the chart-topper song of 2005, Bullah Ki Jaana . His music has been described variously as rock, Punjabi, with a bani style melody, and Sufi-style (sufiana), and "semi-Sufi semi-folksy kind of music with a lot of Western arrangements." Shergill has been called "Punjabi music's true urban balladeer".

Gurpreet Ghuggi Indian actor, comedian and politician

Gurpreet Singh Waraich, commonly known as Gurpreet Ghuggi, is an Indian actor, comedian and politician. He is known for his works in Punjabi and Hindi films. Ghuggi began his career by acting in theatre in the early 1990s, after which he had recurring roles in television series such as Ronak Mela and the soap opera Parchhaven. He gained international public recognition with comedic leading roles through his videos Ghuggi Junction (2003) and Ghuggi Shoo Mantar (2004), before beginning his film career by starring as Patwari Jhilmil Singh in Asa Nu Maan Watna Da (2004). He starred in the film Carry On Jatta (2012), and was praised for his meaningful leading role in Ardaas (2015).

The movie stars Jimmy Sheirgill, Amrinder Gill, Neeru Bajwa, Rana Ranbir, and Gurpreet Ghuggi. It was released in India 8 May 2009, and in Los Angeles, California, US, on 22 May 2009, among other territories. It has a running time of 149 minutes.

Kamal Heer is an Indian born Canadian musician. He is the younger brother of Manmohan Waris and Sangtar, two other esteemed musicians. His live performances showcase his virtuosity with taan and his command of the art of traditional Punjabi music. All three Heer brothers are behind the formulation of Punjabi Virsa shows all over the world. These shows have become internationally famous. Also a talented composer, Kamal Heer has collaborated with his brother Sangtar to write music for their brother Waris.

Punjabi Virsa 2010 was a concert tour by Kamal Heer, Manmohan Waris and Sangtar. It is the seventh Punjabi Virsa tour. They will be touring cities in England and Scotland in June and July 2010 and Canada and United States in September and October 2010. The tour is presented by One World Productions and Plasma Records.

Amar Singh Shaunki, also spelled as Amar Singh Shonki, was a Dhadi singer of Punjab, India.

Mangal Sen (1915–1972) was a Punjabi writer, poet and essayist in East Punjab, India. He wrote first under the name Balwant Rai, but is most famous for his poetry under his pen name Bawa Balwant. He started writing poetry in Urdu but later switched to his mother tongue of Punjabi. Balwant is credited with helping start the progressive movement in Punjabi poetry. He also made a contribution to the freedom struggle of India.

Atul Sharma

Atul Sharma is a multiple-award-winning music composer, producer, sitarist, singer and judge on the popular TV show "Voice of Punjab". He is known for being one of the pioneers of Bhangra and Punjabi pop/folk music, and has composed music for over 5000 music albums and many Punjabi and Hindi films. He has given many global hits like "Yaar Bolda", "Dupatta Tera Satt Rang Da", "Mukhda Dekh ke", "Jatti", "Mitraan Da Naa Chalda" etc. He has also composed and designed music for various theatre productions and has worked with eminent directors and play writes. Based out of Chandigarh, he has been one of the foremost contributors in setting up the Punjabi music industry, and the emergence of recording studios in North India.

Punjabi Virsa 2018 was a live concert tour by Kamal Heer, Manmohan Waris and Sangtar. This live musical Punjabi concert is performed every year in different countries since 2004 under title name Punjabi Virsa. This year it was performed in various cities of Canada in months of August and September 2018. It is presented by Plasma Records.
