Sanil Sachar is an Indian author and a founding partner of Huddle, a venture capital firm based in Gurgaon. [1] His debut book, Summer Promises and Other Poems, was released in 2013.

Early life and education

Sachar is the son of Sita and Sanjiv Sachar, the grandson of Rajinder Sachar, and the great-grandson of Bhim Sen Sachar.[ citation needed ]

After moving to England at the age of 16 he finished his education at Ackworth School. [2]

Books

Sachar's first book, Summer Promises and Other Poems, was published in 2013 by Rupa Publications while he was in his first year of university. The book was publicly launched by lyricist Javed Akhtar. [3] In 2015, Sachar wrote his second book, The Dark Side of Light, which was well-received. [4] [5] [6] His third book, Rebound, is a mystery about a person with schizophrenia against the backdrop of a love story, and it was a bestseller. [7] [8]

Summer Promises and Other Poems is Sachar's first book, which was published by Rupa Publications in April 2013. [9]

2. The Dark Side of Light

The Dark Side of Light is a combination of short stories and poems in several genres, like romance, comedy, murder, and mystery. [10]

3. Rebound

Rebound follows Abhimanyu, a man with schizophrenia who grows up in a circus. [11]

Producer

Sachar is the co-producer of Mantra, starring actors Rajat Kapoor, Kalki Koechlin, and Lushin Dubey, which was generally well-received by audiences. [12] [13]

Dil Dhadakne Do is a 2015 Indian Hindi-language comedy drama film directed by Zoya Akhtar and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the Excel Entertainment banner. The film has an ensemble cast of Anil Kapoor, Shefali Shah, Priyanka Chopra, Ranveer Singh, Anushka Sharma and Farhan Akhtar with a voice-over narration by Aamir Khan. <i>Dunki</i> (soundtrack) 2023 soundtrack album by Pritam and Shekhar Ravjiani

Dunki is the soundtrack to the 2023 film of the same name directed by Rajkumar Hirani and stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal and Boman Irani amongst several others. The album featured eight songs composed by Pritam and one song by Shekhar Ravjiani. The lyricists are Swanand Kirkire, IP Singh, Javed Akhtar, Irshad Kamil, Varun Grover, Kumaar and Amitabh Bhattacharya. After four of the songs were released as singles, the album was released on 20 December 2023 through the T-Series label.
