The Party of Functional Groups,often known by its abbreviation Golkar,is a political party in Indonesia. It was founded as the Joint Secretariat of Functional Groups in 1964,and participated for the first time in national elections in 1971 as Functional Groups. Golkar was not officially a political party until 1999,when it was required to become a party in order to contest elections.
Joko Widodo,popularly known as Jokowi,is an Indonesian politician and businessman who is the seventh and current president of Indonesia. A member of the Indonesian Democratic Party of Struggle (PDI-P),he was the country's first president to not have emerged from the country's political or military elite. He previously served as governor of Jakarta from 2012 to 2014 and mayor of Surakarta from 2005 to 2012.

The South Sulawesi expeditions of 1905,which included the Third Bone War and the Gowa War,were undertaken by the Royal Netherlands East Indies Army (KNIL) to force the states of south Sulawesi (Celebes) to sign the Korte Verklaring,the standard agreement whereby a native Indonesian ruler agreed to accept Dutch sovereignty. According to certain Dutch historians,the expeditions were an "obligation",because the Dutch had responsibility for law and order. One Indonesian historian has argued that it was actually strategic:that south Sulawesi was the "key" to controlling the so-called Great East. There was also an economic motive:to extend the tax-collecting powers of the government of Sulawesi. The expeditions received the imprimatur of the Governor of Sulawesi,Alexander Kroesen,in a letter dated 11 February 1904.
Darmono is a former prosecutor and Attorney General of Indonesia. Before retirement,Darmono was deputy attorney general,a position he occupied since 23 December 2009 after the resignation of Abdul Hakim Ritonga. Darmono was appointed as acting attorney general on 24 September 2010 by Indonesian President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono in order to replace Hendarman Supandji who had been honorably discharged with the Presidential Decree No. 104 of 2010.

Trans-Sumatra Toll Road is an under-construction tolled expressway stretching across Sumatra Island in Indonesia from the northern tip of Banda Aceh to the southern tip of Bakauheni. This toll road was originally planned to connect to the established toll road system of Java through the now cancelled Sunda Strait Bridge. The toll road is to include supporting corridors connecting the cities of Padang,Bengkulu,and Sibolga on the western coast of the island to the main corridors stretching across the more populated eastern coast. State construction company Hutama Karya has been given a government-granted monopoly to operate the network.

The first incident,known as Semanggi I,took place on 13 November 1998 and 17 people were killed.
