Sanjoy Chowdhury

Sanjoy Chowdhury is an Indian film score composer. [1] He debuted in 1998, by composing the background score of the Malayalam movie, Ennu Swantham Janakikutty . [2] Shortly afterwards, filmmaker John Matthew Matthan roped him in to compose the background score of his Aamir Khan starrer, Sarfarosh . He has specialized as a background music composer and has composed the background score in many films. He is the son of Indian film composer, Salil Chowdhury. [3]

Salil Chowdhury was an Indian music director, songwriter, lyricist, writer and poet who predominantly composed for Bengali, Hindi and Malayalam films. He composed music for films in 13 languages. This includes over 75 Hindi films, 41 Bengali films, 27 Malayalam films, and a few Marathi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, Gujarati, Odia and Assamese films. His musical ability was widely recognised and acknowledged in the Indian film industry. He was an accomplished composer and arranger who was proficient in several musical instruments, including flute, the piano, and the esraj. Ennu Swantham Janakikutty is a 1998 Malayalam movie, written by M. T. Vasudevan Nair and directed by Hariharan. The movie features Jomol in the lead role, where she won the National Film Special Jury Award. Also, K. Sampath won the National Film Award for Best Audiography for this film. The film is based on a story written by M. T. Vasudevan Nair named Cheriya Cheriya Bhookambangal. The movie was produced by P. V. Gangadharan under the banner of Gruhalakshmi Productions and was distributed by Kalpaka Release.

Antara Chowdhury is an Indian singer and composer. She is the daughter of the late renowned Composer and Poet Salil Chowdhury and the famous singer Late Sabita Chowdhury. Ennu Ninte Moideen is a 2015 Indian Malayalam-language biographical romantic drama film written and directed by R. S. Vimal, based on the real-life story of Kanchanamala and B. P. Moideen, which took place in the 1960s in Mukkam, Kozhikode. Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu essay the title characters of Moideen and Kanchanamala while Tovino Thomas, Bala, Sai Kumar, Sashi Kumar and Lena appear in supporting roles.

M. S. Mani (1926–2008) was an Indian film director and film editor of Malayalam movies. He won National award twice in 1990 and 1992 for editing the films Nakhashatangal and Iyyer The Great and Kerala State Award in 1972 for editing. He joined the film industry in 1948 and his first film was Ashaadeepam. He has edited more than 300 movies. Swantham Enna Padam is a 1980 Indian Malayalam film, directed by Sreekumaran Thampi and produced by P. K. Kaimal. The film stars Madhu, Srividya, Sukumari and Jose in the lead roles. The film has a musical score by Shyam. Parts of the movie were shot on location in Kashmir, thereby becoming the first Malayalam movie to do so.

Ennu Ninte Moideen is the soundtrack to the 2015 film of the same name directed by R. S. Vimal. Based on the real life story of B. P. Moideen and Kanchanamala which happened in Mukkam, Kozhikode in the 1960s, the film starred Prithviraj Sukumaran and Parvathy Thiruvothu as the principal characters. M. Jayachandran, Ramesh Narayan and Gopi Sundar composed the 10-song soundtrack, the latter of whom also composed the background score. Satyam Audios released the soundtrack on 29 August 2015.
