Sara Anneli Algotsson Ostholt (born 8 December 1974 in Rockneby, Sweden) is a Swedish equestrian. [1] At the 2012 Summer Olympics she competed in both the team and the individual eventing. Algotsson won a silver medal in the individual eventing.
She is the younger sister of fellow rider Linda Algotsson. She is married to German equestrian Frank Ostholt.
She lost one of her lead horses in a vehicle fire while on the way to a competition. The probable cause of the fire was stated as a mechanical issue. [2] [3]
Cian O'Connor is an Irish equestrian who competes in show jumping. He has competed at three Olympic Games, four World Championships and six European Championships, and has attained 133 senior caps for his country. He won an individual bronze medal at the London Olympic Games 2012 and was a member of the Irish team that took a gold medal at the European Championships in Gothenburg in 2017. O’Connor also won a bronze individual medal at the latter event. At the Tokyo Summer Olympics, Cian and his Irish-bred mount Susan Magnier’s Irish bred Kilkenny finished seventh in the individual class.
Andreas Helgstrand is a Danish dressage rider. He won four consecutive Danish dressage championships, from 2005 through 2008.
Isabell Werth is a German equestrian and world champion in dressage who competed in the Olympics six times winning twelve medals, seven of them gold. She holds the record for the most Olympic medals won by any equestrian athlete.

Frank Ostholt is a German eventing rider. With his horse Mr. Medicott, he won a gold medal in team eventing at the 2008 Summer Olympics. He is married to Swedish equestrian Sara Algotsson Ostholt.
Edward Gal is a Dutch dressage rider. He and the stallion Totilas, were triple gold medalists at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games, becoming the first horse-rider partnership ever to sweep the three available dressage gold medals at a single FEI World Games. Going into the 2010 Games, they had amassed multiple world-record scores in international competition, leading one American journalist to call them "rock stars in the horse world". After the World Equestrian Games, Totilas was sold to German trainer Paul Schockemöhle. Gal continues to be successful training and competing dressage horses at the international level. Despite the success, he has been criticised to be harsh trainer who creates stressed and fearful horses.
Laura Tomlinson MBE is a German-British dressage rider competing at Olympic level. As of 30 June 2012 the Fédération Équestre Internationale (FEI) ranked her 3rd in the world riding Mistral Højris and 36th on Andretti H. In that year, Tomlinson, riding Mistral Højris under her maiden name of Laura Bechtolsheimer, won two medals in the 2012 Summer Olympics in London; gold for Great Britain in the team dressage with Carl Hester and Charlotte Dujardin, the first ever Olympic team gold in the discipline for her country, and bronze in the individual dressage behind gold medalist and compatriot Dujardin.
Nicola Wilson is a British equestrian rider specialising in three-day eventing. Riding Opposition Buzz, she won a team gold at the 2010 FEI World Equestrian Games and team silver at the 2012 Olympic Games. She is also a seven-time medallist at the European Championships, including team golds in 2009, 2017 and 2021 and individual gold and bronze in 2021 and 2017, respectively.
Dirk Schrade is a German equestrian. At the 2012 Summer Olympics he competed in the Individual eventing and team eventing, where Germany won the gold medal.
Sven Ludwig Svennerstål is a Swedish equestrian. At the 2012 Summer Olympics and 2016 Summer Olympics he competed in the individual eventing, and was part of the Swedish eventing team on both occasions.
Linda Camilla Algotsson is a Swedish Olympic eventing rider. She competed at five Summer Olympics. She finished 4th in team eventing on two occasions. Meanwhile, her current best individual Olympic result is 13th place from 2008.
Jonelle Price is a New Zealand equestrian, competing in eventing. She is married to Tim Price, also a New Zeland eventing rider. They are both competing at top international level.
Michael Jung is a German equestrian who competes in eventing and show jumping. A three-time Olympic gold medallist, he won individual and team gold at the 2012 London Olympics, followed by individual gold and team silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics. He was inducted into the Eventing Rider Association Hall of Fame in 2013, and in 2016 he became only the second rider in history to win the Grand Slam of Eventing.
Dorothee Schneider is a German dressage rider competing at Olympic level. On 7 August 2012 Schneider was a member of the team which won the silver medal in the team dressage event.
Wega is a Swedish Warmblood mare who won the individual silver medal at the eventing competition at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, with Sara Algotsson Ostholt as the rider. Wega was by the stallion Irco Mena, and out of La Fair, who was on the 4th place-finishing 2012 Olympic team with her daughter. Wega was also a member of the Swedish team at the 2011 European Championships.
Megan Lane is a Canadian Olympic dressage rider. She participated at two World Equestrian Games. Her best results were achieved during the 2014 edition, when she placed 9th with the Canadian team in the team competition, and 37th in the individual competition aboard Caravella.
Fiona Bigwood is a British dressage rider, and winner of a silver medal in the team dressage event at the 2016 Summer Olympics.
Astier Nicolas is a French equestrian. He represented his country at the 2016 Summer Olympics, where he won the gold medal in the team eventing and the silver in the individual eventing.
