Sauraseni Maitra is an Indian model and actress. [1] [2] Maitra started her career as a child actor,when she was 9 years old. [3]

Career

Sauraseni Maitra started her modelling career at an early age. She is an Indian actress who started off with the 2012 action drama film Chittagong, under the direction of Bedabrata Pain. She then went on to star in the 2015 comedy drama Umrika, directed by Prashant Nair, starring Aashish Bhatt and Uplaksh Kochhar in the lead roles. Her 2017 release includes the thriller movie Meghnadbodh Rohoshyo, under the direction of Anik Datta, starring in the lead role opposite Sabyasachi Chakraborty and Abir Chatterjee. Her other project includes director Pratim D. Gupta's drama movie Maacher Jhol starring Paoli Dam and Kaya Blocksage in the lead roles opposite Sauraseni. [4] She worked in an advertisement directed by Bengali film director Anik Dutta, in which Bollywood film actress Deepika Padukone acted as well. [5]

Le Chakka is a 2010 Indian Bengali-language sports comedy drama film co-written and directed by Raj Chakraborty. Produced by Shyam Aggarwal under the banner of Srijan Arts, the screenplay and dialogues of the film were by Padmanabha Dasgupta and Abhimanyu Mukherjee. Tekka (transl. Ace) is a 2024 Indian Bengali-language vigilante action thriller film co-written and directed by Srijit Mukherji. Produced by Gurupada Adhikari and Dev under the banner of Dev Entertainment Ventures, the film is based on a story of the same name by Bhaskar Chattopadhyay, which itself is loosely inspired from the West Bengal School Service Commission recruitment scam (2022). Shotyi Bole Shotyi Kichhu Nei, also known by the initialism SBSKN, is a 2025 Indian Bengali-language legal thriller film written and directed by Srijit Mukherji. The film is an official adaptation of the 1989 Hindi film Ek Ruka Hua Faisla, which is itself a remake of the American film 12 Angry Men (1957) directed by Sidney Lumet, which was an adaptation from a 1954 teleplay of the same name by Reginald Rose. Produced by Shrikant Mohta and Mahendra Soni under the banner of Shree Venkatesh Films, it stars an ensemble cast of Kaushik Ganguly, Parambrata Chatterjee, Kaushik Sen, Ritwick Chakraborty, Anirban Chakrabarti, Ananya Chatterjee, Arjun Chakrabarty, Rahul Banerjee, Sauraseni Maitra, Kanchan Mullick, Phalguni Chatterjee and Suhotra Mukherjee.
