Production

The film was announced to be a romantic comedy directed by newcomer Saahith Mothkuri. [1] It was initially announced that Rashmi Gautam would star as the female lead and feature music by Prashanth R Vihari; however, these reports proved to be false. [2] The film's main characters include a horse, Nandu, and Priyanka Sharma. [3] [4] [5] Nandu portrayed a man from a slum in the film. [6]

Soundtrack

The songs were composed by Shekar Chandra. [7] [8] A single "Nee Kannulu" was released in October 2019. [9] The song "Undipova Nuvvila" written by Purna Chary gained attention upon release. [10]

Release and reception

The film was released on 7 February 2020. [11] [12] [6] Film Companion wrote that "The biggest problem is that it just doesn’t know how to handle its drama". [13] The Times of India gave the film a rating of two-and-half out of five and stated that "With the kind of set-up given and nothing exciting panning out, Savaari doesn’t leave you with a smile on your face". [14] A critic from 123telugu wrote that "The film does not have a strong conflict point and has been narrated on a dull note. The emotions showcased in many areas are fake and do not hit you hard.". [15]

Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo is the soundtrack album composed by Thaman S for the 2020 Telugu film of the same name starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in lead roles, directed by Trivikram Srinivas, the film marks Thaman's second collaboration with Trivikram after Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018) and third collaboration with Allu Arjun after Race Gurram (2014) and Sarrainodu (2016).
