Scandinavian Academy of Aeronautics (Swedish : Skandinaviens Flygtekniska Akademi) was a Swedish accredited college specializing in aerospace engineering and avionics, situated in Gothenburg from 1973 and in Karlsborg from 1998 to 2003. [1] [2] The college was a major contributor of engineers and researchers in partnership with the aerospace industry, major airliners and other universities. [3]
Scandinavian Academy of Aeronautics was founded and opened by Runo Ewe-Ericson and Percival Ewe-Ericson in 1973 with its main campus situated in Bellmannsgatan 10, Gothenburg. For a short period in the mid 1990s its campus location was in Vestre Hamngatan, Gothenburg, before it moved to Karlsborg in 1998 until 2003. The number of students was radically reduced when the school moved to Karlsborg, [3] [4] and as co-founder and acting principal Percival Ewe-Ericson passed away in 2002 the school was closed down the following year. The shutdown led to the school filing a subpoena against the city of Karlsborg claiming they did not receive the funds promised for the establishing of the new campus. [4]
In 2003 Lillian Syrene Ewe-Ericson founded an entity in cooperation with the Gothenburg Aviation Museum (Swedish : Göta Flygmuseum) to preserve the cultural heritage the school has contributed to Sweden's aeronautical history. [5] [6]

Sten Gabriel Bernhard Forshufvud was a Swedish dentist and physician, and amateur toxicologist who formulated and supported the controversial theory that Napoleon was assassinated by a member of his entourage while in exile. He wrote a book, in Swedish, about this in 1961, which was translated the following year as Who Killed Napoleon? He later published his ideas in English in the 1983 book Assassination At St. Helena: The Poisoning Of Napoleon Bonaparte, written in collaboration with Ben Weider, co-author of the 1982 book The Murder Of Napoleon, which also advanced Forshufvud's theories.
Pehr Gustaf Viktor Gyllenhammar was a Swedish insurance company executive. He completed a law degree from Stockholm University in 1925, and became CEO of the insurance company Svenska Skeppshypotekskassan in 1938. He was later CEO of the Swedish insurance company Skandia until 1970, when he was succeeded by his son, Pehr G. Gyllenhammar who is the Chairman of Reuters.
Lars Oskar Olausson was a Lieutenant Colonel of the Swedish Air Force, who published an annual volume on the history of the Lockheed C-130 Hercules airlifter currently titled the Lockheed Hercules Production List 1954-2014, the thirtieth edition having been printed March 2012. "For each aircraft listed, the Lockheed model number, military designation, owner and serial number are quoted, with additional information in a remarks column, giving such details as delivery dates, earlier or later markings, using squadron and write-off date."
Gustaf "Gösta" Wilhelm Hagelin was a Swedish Army officer and horse rider who competed in the 1924 Summer Olympics. In 1924 he and his horse Varius won the silver medal with the Swedish eventing team after finishing twentieth in the individual eventing.
Gustaf Einar Gustafsson was a Swedish farmer and politician. He was a member of the Centre Party and was Governor of Gotland County from 1975 to 1980.

Lieutenant General Richard "Riri" Oscar Roger Åkerman was a senior Swedish Army officer. Åkerman had an extensive military career in both the Swedish and Finnish Armies. He began as a second lieutenant in 1919 and later became a captain in the General Staff. He held various roles, including serving as head of the Air Defense Office and artillery battery commander. Åkerman joined the Finnish Army during the Winter War and reached the rank of lieutenant colonel.
Henrik Erik Gustav Hagberg is a Swedish physician and neuroscientist. His research focuses on experimental brain research, perinatal medicine and obstetrics. He holds the Research Chair in Fetal Medicine at the Centre for the Developing Brain at King's College London, and is one of the world's most highly cited researchers in the field of perinatal brain injury. According to Google Scholar, his work has been cited over 33,000 times in scientific literature, and he has an h-index of 107.

Torsten Waldemar Gårdlund was a Swedish economist, economic historian, essayist and biographical writer. In economic history, he published several significant monographs, but also several works on individual Swedish industries. He was also active as a developing country advisor and wrote three books on development issues. Gårdlund was a professor at the Stockholm School of Economics from 1947 to 1963, and professor of international economics at Lund University from 1965 to 1976.
