In cricket, an umpire is a person who has the authority to make decisions about events on the cricket field, according to the Laws of Cricket. Besides making decisions about legality of delivery, appeals for wickets and general conduct of the game in a legal manner, the umpire also keeps a record of the deliveries and announces the completion of an over.
The International Cricket Council (ICC) is the world governing body of cricket. It was founded as the Imperial Cricket Conference in 1909 by representatives from Australia, England and South Africa. It was renamed as the International Cricket Conference in 1965, and took up its current name in 1987. The ICC has its headquarters in Dubai, UAE.
Darrell Bruce Hair is an Australian former Test match cricket umpire, from New South Wales. He stood on the International panel of umpires from 2002 to 2003, before he, along with fellow Australian Simon Taufel, and New Zealander Billy Bowden, was appointed to the ICC Elite umpire panel. After an ICC board meeting discussed his actions in a Test match between Pakistan and England in 2006 it was decided he should not umpire matches involving the Test playing nations. He was restored to the Elite Panel by the ICC on 12 March 2008 and stood in the England v New Zealand Tests at Old Trafford in May and Trent Bridge in June 2008.
Michael Andrew Gough is an English cricket umpire and former cricketer. He was a right-handed batsman and a right-arm off-break bowler. Gough is an international umpire and is a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires, representing the England and Wales Cricket Board.

The Royal Dutch Cricket Association is the governing body of cricket in the Kingdom of the Netherlands. It was formed in 1883 and received a Royal charter in 1958. The KNCB is responsible for the national men's and women's teams, and also for the various domestic competitions, including the Topklasse and Hoofdklasse leagues, and the Dutch Twenty20 Cup. The KNCB has been an associate member of the International Cricket Council since 1966. It is one of the oldest national governing bodies in the sport, older than those of many full ICC members. The KNCB is also a member of the European Cricket Council, which organises the European Cricket Championship.

Until June 2020, he was a member of the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires and officiated in international matches - Tests, ODIs and T20Is. Earlier, he had played English domestic cricket during the 1990s with Kent County Cricket Club.

He was a left-handed top order batsman and occasional right-arm medium pace bowler. He attended Worksop College and was a member of the College cricket XI for a number of years.

The Association of Cricket Officials (ACO) is an organisation set up to represent and support cricket officials, especially umpires and scorers. It operates under the auspices of the England and Wales Cricket Board (ECB) and is often referred to as the "ECB ACO" or similar. Current membership is "near 8,000".
The International Panel of ICC Development Umpires is a panel of international cricket umpires chosen by the International Cricket Council (ICC). Established in 2005, its members are drawn primarily from the organisation's associate and affiliate members. It stands alongside, and is intended to offer a career path into the Elite Panel of ICC Umpires. Umpires on the panel are not restricted to matches between associate and affiliate teams, and have officiated at One Day International (ODI) and Twenty20 International level.
Sundaram Ravi is an Indian cricket umpire from who was a member of the ICC Elite Panel of Umpires between 2015 and 2019. After making his Twenty20 International (T20I) debut in 2011, he officiated in over 100 international matches at Test, One Day International (ODI) and T20I level.

Pim van Liemt is a Dutch cricket umpire and former cricketer, who serves as a member of the ICC Associate and Affiliate International Umpires Panel. He was shortlisted as the Koninklijke Nederlandse Cricket Bond Umpire of the Year in 2014, and won the award in 2015. He umpired in the 2016 ICC World Cricket League Division Five. In his playing career, van Liemt played one match for Netherlands U-19 against Bermuda U-19; opening the batting, van Liemt scored 20. He stood as an umpire at the 2018 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier.

She is an ACC-affiliated Level 3 Coach, Level 2 Umpire and ICC-affiliated Match Referee. Additionally, she is an ICC Asia Coach Educator. She has officiated cricket matches as an umpire in Qatari local matches such as Men's Division Matches and also International matches such as the ICC Men's T20 Qualifier conducted in Kuwait. She was the first female to umpire in a T20 international men's match.
Kim Cotton is a New Zealand cricket umpire. In August 2018, she stood in matches in the 2018–19 ICC World Twenty20 East Asia-Pacific Qualifier tournament, and the following month was added to the Development Panel of ICC Umpires.
Eloise Sheridan is an Australian cricket umpire who is part of the Development Panel of ICC Umpires. In December 2018, Sheridan and Claire Polosak became the first pair of female umpires to stand in competitive match in Australia, when they officiated in the 2018–19 Women's Big Bash League season. In February 2019, Sheridan and Mary Waldron became the first female umpires to stand in a men's grade cricket match, during a fixture in the South Australian Grade Cricket League. Sheridan was also one of the umpires for the 2019 ICC Women's World Twenty20 Qualifier tournament in Scotland, her first international appointment.
