The Fédération du Scoutisme Français is an umbrella organization that combines the efforts of the several Scouting and Guiding associations in France and also represents the Scouting movement in French Guiana, Martinique, Saint-Pierre and Miquelon, New Caledonia, Réunion, Wallis and Futuna and Guadeloupe. Until 2012 the Muslim Scouts of France were presiding the Federation with Dr. Younès F. Aberkane as president.
Scouting in French Polynesia is represented by the Conseil du Scoutisme polynésien, founded in 1986. The first Scout unit in French Polynesia was founded in 1947. French Polynesia became an Associate Member of the Asia-Pacific Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 2001. Membership in 2001 stood at 793.
The Vietnamese Scout Association is a youth organization that was established in Vietnam and active between 1930 and 1975. The association was recognized by the World Organization of the Scout Movement from 1957 to 1975.
Gidsen- en Scoutsbeweging in België (Dutch) or Guidisme et Scoutisme en Belgique (French) (GSB) is the national Guiding and Scouting federation in Belgium. Scouting in Belgium started in 1911, and Guiding followed in 1915. The Belgian Scouts were among the charter members of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) in 1922, and the Guides were one of the founding members of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts (WAGGGS) in 1928. The federation counts 121,600 Scouts and 59,268 Guides.
The Association des Scouts du Burundi, the national Scouting organization of Burundi, was founded in 1940, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1979. The coeducational Association des Scouts du Burundi has 104,874 members as of 2021.
Wezo Mbeli, the national scouting organization of the Comoros, was founded in 1975, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1990. The coeducational Wezombeli has 1,725 members as of 2004. The development of Scouting has been hampered by civil unrest and lack of political stability in the country.
The Fédération des Scouts de la République démocratique du Congo (FESCO), the national federation of eleven Scouting organizations of the Democratic Republic of the Congo, was founded in 1924, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement (WOSM) first in 1963 and again in 1981. The coeducational Fédération des Scouts de la République démocratique du Congo has 71,486 members as of 2010.
The Fédération Ivoirienne du Scoutisme is the national federation of three Scouting organizations of the Côte d'Ivoire. The coeducational Fédération Ivoirienne du Scoutisme has 23,213 members as of 2011.
The Association Nationale des Scouts de Guinée, the national Scouting association of Guinea, became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement first in 1990 and again in 2005, after a break in membership. Scouting was officially founded in 1984. The association has 10,592 members.
The Central African Republic is one of 29 countries where Scouting exists but where there is no National Scout Organization which is a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement at the present time. Scouting was founded in French Equatorial Africa in 1941, and was first recognized in 1969. The Fédération du scoutisme centrafricain, or FESCA, is the national federation of seven Scouting organizations. While FESCA was still recognized in 1990, there were 7,000 Scouts, and total membership at the end of 1998 was reported as being the same number.
The Association des Scouts du Niger is the national Scouting organization of Niger. It was founded in 1993 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1996. The coeducational Association des Scouts du Niger has 3,202 members as of 2011.
The Firaisan'ny Skotisma eto Madagasikara, the national federation of three Scouting organizations of Madagascar. Scouting in Madagascar was started in 1921 under the auspices of the respective French organizations. The federation was founded in 1959 and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1960. The coeducational Firaisan'ny Skotisma eto Madagasikara has 14,905 members as of 2011.
The Association des Scouts de Djibouti is the national Scouting organization of Djibouti.
The Lebanese Scouting Federation, is the national federation of 29 Scouting organisations of Lebanon, founded in 1961. The federation became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1947.
The Association des Scouts et Guides de Mauritanie, the national Scouting organization of Mauritania, was founded in 1936, became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1983, and is also an associate member of the World Association of Girl Guides and Girl Scouts. The coeducational Association des Scouts et Guides de Mauritanie has about 4,200 members as of 2008.
The Fédération Nationale du Scoutisme Marocain is the national federation of several Scouting organizations of Morocco. It was founded in 1933, and became a member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement in 1961. The coeducational Fédération Nationale du Scoutisme Marocain has 12,304 members as of 2004.
The Scout Association Vanuatu Branch is a branch of The Scout Association of the United Kingdom operating in the Republic of Vanuatu since 1999. The Scout Association Vanuatu Branch is an incorporated non-government organisation. As a branch of The Scout Association, the Vanuatu Branch is recognised by but not an independent member of the World Organization of the Scout Movement. Currently there are four active Scout groups in Vanuatu, one in Santo and three in Port Vila, with over 200 youth participants.
Scouting in French Guiana mainly follows the program of the Scouts et Guides de France (SGdF), but there are also groups of the Éclaireuses et Éclaireurs de France. The SGdF's Région Guyane is an associate member of the Interamerican Scout Region of the World Organization of the Scout Movement.
Scouting and Guiding on Réunion is served by at least three French Scout and Guide associations. There is an overseas branch of the Scouts et Guides de France called the Scouts et Guides de France, territoire de la Réunion as well as groups of the Scouts unitaires de France and of the Association des Guides et Scouts d'Europe.
