Searching for Solace is the sixth album by American metalcore band The Ghost Inside. The album was released digitally on April 19, 2024, through Epitaph Records, with a physical release scheduled for June 7.
Searching for Solace was produced by Dan Braunstein (Spiritbox, Dayseeker), Cody Quistad (Wage War), Carson Slovak and Grant McFarland (August Burns Red, Bloodywood). [6] This marked the first album by The Ghost Inside with more than one producer. Bassist Jim Riley explained, "It was neat to go to a person like Dan Braunstein who has known the band for 15 years and have him go, 'I love what you guys have been doing and this is what I see as the next step', or to get in a room with someone like Cody from Wage War and have him be like, 'I love your band. I wish you guys would do something like this.' To go into writing a song with those guys from that place was ...it was really cool. It was really liberating. And I think it also just added to the range that this record has." [7]
The tracks in the album lyrically deal with COVID-induced isolation, "grief, loss and the gut-wrenching sadness that comes with losing someone close to you." The song "Cityscapes" was written in memory of vocalist Jonathan Vigil's father who died during the band's Australian tour in 2012. Vigil stated, "It's about the day that I lost my father and it just so happened to be in Australia. I remember looking outside my hotel window at the Brisbane skyline, the cityscape of Brisbane, just in tears, not knowing what to do and feeling so lost." [8]
The Ghost Inside began releasing their first new material in three years, [9] with the album's first single "Earn It", released on July 10, 2023. [10] The album's second single "Death Grip" was released on November 7. [11]
On February 5, 2024, the band released the third single "Wash It Away" and announced details of Searching for Solace including its release date of April 19. [12] The album's final pre-release single, "Split" was released on March 19, 2024. [13]
In support of the album, the band has embarked on tour through the U.S. from April to May 2024, with bands Paleface Swiss, Bleed from Within and Great American Ghost. The Ghost Inside have also planned a European tour scheduled for October and November. [14] They have also been announced alongside bands State Champs and The Blackout to perform with various other bands at Slam Dunk Festival on May 25 and 26. [15]

The current lineup consists of Andersen, Haakaas, Benjamin Berge, Snorre Kilvær, and Nikki Brumen. The band has been praised for their high-energy live shows and their fresh, vibrant take on rock music, with their albums earning rave reviews from Kerrang!, Metal Hammer, and others. As of 2023, Blood Command has released five studio albums and four EPs.
Higher Power are an English hardcore punk band formed in Leeds, West Yorkshire in 2014. They have released two full-length studio albums, one EP, one live album and one demo. Their second album, 27 Miles Underwater, was their major label debut through Roadrunner Records. In a 2020 poll by Revolver magazine, they were voted the most likely contemporary band to breakthrough into the mainstream. They are a part of the New Wave of British Hardcore.
Sleep Token are a British rock band from London, formed in 2016. The group are an anonymous, masked collective led by a frontman using the moniker Vessel. They have been categorised under many different genres, including alternative metal, post-rock/metal, progressive metal, indie rock/pop, and djent. After self-releasing their debut extended play (EP) One in 2016, the band signed with Basick Records and issued a follow-up, Two, the next year. The group later signed with Spinefarm Records and released their debut full-length album Sundowning in 2019, which was followed in 2021 by This Place Will Become Your Tomb. Spiritbox is a Canadian heavy metal band, originally from Victoria, British Columbia, publicly established by guitarist Mike Stringer and vocalist Courtney LaPlante in October 2017. The band's full lineup comprises married couple LaPlante and Stringer alongside drummer Zev Rose, and bassist Josh Gilbert. The band's style incorporates electronic elements and draws from a variety of influences, crossing multiple metal subgenres with its roots in metalcore and progressive metal. Their music is currently released through their label, Pale Chord, via a partnership with Rise Records.
Wargasm (stylised as 𝐖𝐀𝐑𝐆𝐀𝐒𝐌, and sometimes known as Wargasm (UK)) are a British electronic rock duo from London. Formed in 2018 by musician Sam Matlock and model Milkie Way, they have released 11 solo singles including "Spit". which has gained 7 million streams on Spotify, and over 400 thousand views on YouTube. Alternative Press listed them as a defining part of the 2020s wave of nu metal, and NME listed them as one of 2021's essential emerging artists. The pair also took home "Best UK Breakthrough" at The Heavy Music Awards in 2021 and have received widespread acclaim from Kerrang! and Revolver. Their debut extended play (EP), Explicit: The Mixxxtape, was released on 9 September 2022 and their debut studio album, Venom, released in October 2023 charted at No. 88 in the UK Albums Chart.
Hannah Rose Collins, professionally known as Scene Queen and formerly RØSÉ, is an American singer signed to Hopeless Records. She is known for coining the style "Bimbocore", a subgenre of metalcore with feminist themes. She rose to fame on the social media platform TikTok, where she has garnered over 618,000 followers as of September 2023. Her debut EP Bimbocore was released in April 2022. A follow-up EP, Bimbocore Vol. 2, was released in November of that year.
Better Lovers is an American hardcore punk band from Buffalo, New York. Formed in 2023 after the dissolution of Every Time I Die, the group consists of vocalist Greg Puciato, guitarists Jordan Buckley and Will Putney, bassist Stephen Micciche, and drummer Clayton Holyoak. The band is signed to SharpTone Records and released their debut EP, God Made Me an Animal, in 2023. Often labeled a supergroup, the band features members formerly of Every Time I Die and The Dillinger Escape Plan (Puciato), as well as a current member of Fit For An Autopsy (Putney).

Heriot are a British metalcore band. The band was formed in Swindon in 2014 by drummer Julian Gage, bassist and vocalist Jake Packer and guitarist Erhan Alman; in 2019, guitarist and vocalist Debbie Gough joined the band. Originally a "doomcore" outfit, the band became known for their genre-blending sound, drawing from various metal and non-metal subgenres. The band is named after Anglo-Saxon-era death duty tax, and medieval motifs are seen throughout their artwork and videos.
Graphic Nature are a British nu metalcore band, based in Kent, England. The band's style mixes nu metal and metalcore with influences of electronic music, whilst its lyrics are themed around mental health. After self-releasing four singles, the band signed to Rude Records in 2021. The band released their debut album A Mind Waiting to Die in 2023, which they supported with performances at the 2000trees, Download, Reading & Leeds and Misery Loves Company festivals. Their second album, Who Are You When No One is Watching?, will be released on 12 July 2024.
