Danseparc was Martha and the Muffins' fourth album, recorded in 1982 at Grant Avenue Studios in Hamilton, Ontario, Canada, and released in 1983. The title single reached #31 in Canada.
Luba is a Canadian musician, singer, songwriter, and recording artist from Montreal. She was professionally active from 1980 to 1990, 2000 to 2001, and is active again as of 2007. At the beginning of her career, Luba performed with the traditional Ukrainian music group Via Zorya, with whom she released a self-titled album in 1973. In the 1980s, she sang with her own band, Luba, which released the album Chain Reaction in 1980. She went on to have a solo career using the mononym Luba. Two of her albums have been certified Platinum by the Canadian music industry. She has had nine top-40 hits on the Canadian pop charts. Her most successful song is a cover of Percy Sledge's "When a Man Loves a Woman", which reached number 6 on the Canadian pop chart and number 3 on the Canadian adult contemporary chart, in 1987.
Mabool: The Story of the Three Sons of Seven is the third full-length studio album by the Israeli metal band Orphaned Land. It was released on February 23, 2004 through Century Media Records. One limited edition version of the album has a bonus CD entitled The Calm Before the Flood containing live acoustic tracks, while another limited edition version was released by Profound Lore Records as a 2-LP album with alternate cover art in a clear wax case limited to only 500 copies. Two videos were made for the album, one for the song "Ocean Land" and the other for the song "Norra el Norra", and were the band's first music videos. Mabool is Orphaned Land's second concept album. "Mabool" (מבול) is the Hebrew word for "flood," and refers to the Genesis flood narrative from which the album's concept, the band's reinterpretation of Noah's Ark, is derived.
"Red Rain" is the first track on English rock musician Peter Gabriel's fifth solo studio album So (1986). In the United States, it was released as a promotional single and reached number three on Billboard magazine's Mainstream Rock chart in 1986, where it stayed for three weeks between July and August. In 1987, it was released as a commercial single in parts of Europe, peaking at 46 in the UK Singles Chart after entering the chart in July of that year. A live version also charted in the US and the UK in 1994.
Chalk Mark in a Rain Storm is the 13th studio album by Canadian singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, released on March 23, 1988, by Geffen Records. Her third release on the label, the album features duets with a number of artists such as Peter Gabriel on "My Secret Place", Willie Nelson on "Cool Water", Don Henley on "Snakes and Ladders", and Billy Idol and Tom Petty on the track "Dancin' Clown". Henley also performs backing vocals on "Lakota", and Wendy and Lisa perform backing vocals on "The Tea Leaf Prophecy ".
Falling in Between is the twelfth studio album by American rock band, Toto. The album was released in Europe on February 14, 2006 on the Italian label Frontiers Records, and in the United States on April 18, 2006. The band supported the album with a world tour. It was the band's first studio release since Through the Looking Glass in 2002, the last one with lead vocalist Bobby Kimball and the only one with keyboardist/vocalist Greg Phillinganes. Phillinganes originally began playing with Toto as a touring replacement for David Paich, who had retired from the road. Another Porcaro brother, Steve, continues to work in the studio with the band, though he also retired from touring following the Fahrenheit album in 1987. Similarly, Lenny Castro has never been a member of the group, but has consistently contributed to their recordings since their first album in 1978. This is also the band's last studio album to feature bassist Mike Porcaro and drummer Simon Phillips; Porcaro retired from touring in the following year due to symptoms of ALS taking away the use of his hands and died in 2015. Phillips left the band in 2014 to focus on his solo career.
"Mysterious Ways" is a song by Irish rock band U2. It is the eighth track from their 1991 album, Achtung Baby, and was released as the album's second single on 2 December 1991, two weeks after the album. The song began as an improvisation called "Sick Puppy", with the band liking only the bass part that bassist Adam Clayton composed. The band struggled to build a song from it, with vocalist Bono and producer Daniel Lanois arguing intensely during one songwriting session. The song's breakthrough came after guitarist the Edge began experimenting with the Korg A3 effects unit. "Mysterious Ways" features a danceable beat, funky guitar hook, and conga-laden percussion, as well as mystical lyrics by Bono about romance and women.

Acadie is the debut studio album by record producer and singer-songwriter Daniel Lanois, originally released in 1989 by Opal Records and Warner Bros. Records. It was largely written and recorded in the city of New Orleans. Lanois sings on it in both French and English, sometimes on the same track. It was reissued in 2005 with new cover art and then issued again in 2021 as Acadie and only the 2021 edition is available for streaming. Acadie was named the 20th greatest Canadian album of all time in Bob Mersereau's 2007 book The Top 100 Canadian Albums.
Robbie Robertson is the solo debut album by Canadian rock musician Robbie Robertson, released in 1987. Though Robertson had been a professional musician since the late 1950s, notably a founder of and primary songwriter for The Band, this was his first solo album. Robbie Robertson won the Juno Award for "Album of the Year", and producers Daniel Lanois and Robertson won the "Producer of the Year" Juno award, both in 1989; there were no Juno Awards in 1988.
"In Your Eyes" is a song by the English rock musician Peter Gabriel from his fifth solo studio album So (1986). It features Youssou N'Dour singing a part at the end of the song translated into his native Wolof. Gabriel's lyrics were inspired by an African tradition of ambiguity in song between romantic love and love of God.
Luba is the debut EP by Canadian singer Luba, released on Capitol-EMI of Canada. Included is the hit single "Everytime I See Your Picture", a popular song in Canada at that time, which eventually jumpstarted her major singing career. The EP was available on vinyl record and cassette tape.
Between the Earth & Sky is a 1986 album by Canadian singer Luba and her band, the follow-up to her breakout album Secrets and Sins. The album helped Luba win a second Juno Award for "Female Vocalist of the Year", and was also her first album to go platinum in Canada. Various musical artists appear on Between the Earth & Sky, including a saxophone solo by jazz musician Kenny G on the hit single "How Many". Other popular singles on the album include "Strength in Numbers", "Act of Mercy" and "Innocent ".
Over 60 Minutes with Luba is a compilation of popular songs from the first three albums on Capitol-EMI of Canada by Canadian singer, Luba and band. Two additional songs appear on this release, including the hit single "The Best Is Yet to Come" which is featured on the motion picture soundtrack for 9½ Weeks and a live version of the Percy Sledge classic "When a Man Loves a Woman". A 12" club mix of the Canadian gold smash "Let It Go" is also included on this album.

As the Band Turns is the sixth album by R&B band Atlantic Starr, released April 15, 1985 on A&M Records. Following the departure of initial lead singer Sharon Bryant, as well as 4 other members of the band. As The Band sees the introduction of new vocalist Barbara Weathers. This proved to be one of the band's more successful releases, yielding several R&B hits, such as "Freak-A-Ristic," "If Your Heart Isn't In It", and the smash quiet storm anthem "Secret Lovers." This would be the band's last release for A&M after a memorable, although inconsistent, run of hits throughout the early 80's.
On Tour is a five song EP by Canadian singer, Luba. It was released in 1990, a year later after her album All or Nothing, featuring four tracks, recorded life during the All Or Nothing tour, and a fifth one, an acoustic version of her single "Let It Go".
ICON is a compilation album by the Canadian-Ukrainian singer-songwriter Luba. It is the first release by Luba for 14 years. ICON is a compilation of previously released songs, as well as a new track, Heaven, which was presented on Luba's MySpace around 2007. The album has been released by Universal Music Canada.
