"The Power of Love" is a song originally recorded and released by British band Frankie Goes to Hollywood. It was written by Holly Johnson, Peter Gill, Mark O'Toole and Brian Nash, four of five members of the band. It was released by the group as their third single.
"Let There Be Love" is a song by the English rock band Oasis from their sixth studio album, Don't Believe the Truth (2005). Written by Noel Gallagher, it is the fourth Oasis song to feature Liam and Noel on lead vocals, the first being "Acquiesce", the second being "Put Yer Money Where Yer Mouth Is" and the third being "Born on a Different Cloud". It was released on 28 November 2005 as the third and final single from the album in the United Kingdom, and the second single in the United States.
"A Little Time" is a song by English pop rock group the Beautiful South, the first single to be released from their second album, Choke. It consists of a duet featuring vocalists Dave Hemingway and Briana Corrigan. Produced by Mike Hedges, "A Little Time" is the band's only single to reach number one on the UK Singles Chart, and it peaked inside the top 20 in Austria, Belgium, Ireland, and the Netherlands. The song is featured on the PlayStation 2 game SingStar Party.
"That's My Goal" is the debut single by British singer Shayne Ward, the winner of the second series of The X Factor. It was released as his winner's single on 21 December 2005. Ward was the first X Factor winner to release an original song as his winner's single; all other winners released a cover version of another song, until Matt Terry's "When Christmas Comes Around" in 2016. "That's My Goal" was later included on Ward's debut studio album, Shayne Ward (2006).

"Northern Star" is a song by British singer-songwriter, Melanie C. It is the title track from her debut solo album of the same name and it was released as the second single in the winter of 1999. It was written by Melanie C and Rick Nowels. The song was produced by Marius De Vries and received positive reception from music critics. The single charted at number four on the UK Singles Chart, becoming her third top-five single. It additionally reached the top 20 in Finland, Italy, and Sweden. In the United Kingdom, the single sold over 200,000 copies.
"I Turn to You" is a song by British singer-songwriter, Melanie C. It was released as the fourth single from her debut solo album, Northern Star. It was released on 7 August 2000 in the United Kingdom and became Melanie's second UK number-one single. It sold 120,000 copies in its first week, altogether selling 360,477 copies, making it the twenty-seventh best-seller of 2000 in the UK. "I Turn to You" also topped the Austrian Singles Chart, the Danish Singles Chart, the Dutch Top 40, the Swedish Singles Chart and the US Billboard Hot Dance Club Play chart. The main single was released as the "Hex Hector Radio Mix", for which Hex Hector won the 2001 Grammy as Remixer of the Year.
"Chain Reaction" is a song by Diana Ross, released on November 28, 1985 as the second single from her sixteenth studio album Eaten Alive. The song was written by the Bee Gees and contains additional vocals from Barry Gibb.
"See the Day" is a song by English singer Dee C. Lee, released as a single on 21 October 1985. On 2 December it peaked at number 3 on the UK Singles Chart where it stayed for two weeks. The single sold in excess of 250,000 copies, receiving a silver certification, and becoming Lee's biggest hit single and her only UK Top 40 hit to date. "See the Day" also charted in Australia, Germany and the Netherlands.
"Suddenly I See" is a song by Scottish singer-songwriter KT Tunstall and is featured on her debut album, Eye to the Telescope. It was released on 29 August 2005 as the third single from the album, charting at number 12 in the UK Singles Chart. The single is, to date, Tunstall's only top 50 hit in Australia, where it charted at number six on the ARIA Singles Chart. It was certified gold by ARIA for sales of 35,000 copies.
"Evergreen" is the theme song from the 1976 film A Star Is Born. It was composed and performed by Barbra Streisand with lyrics by Paul Williams, and arranged by Ian Freebairn-Smith. The song was released on the soundtrack album to A Star Is Born.
"Fade into You" is a song by rock group Mazzy Star from their album So Tonight That I Might See. The song was written by lyricist Hope Sandoval and composer David Roback, who also served as producer. It reached number three on the US Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart in 1994 and is Mazzy Star's only single to make the Billboard Hot 100, peaking at number 44. The song also charted at number 48 on the UK Singles Chart and number three in Iceland.
"From Here to Eternity" is a song by English heavy metal band Iron Maiden, released as the second single from their album Fear of the Dark, released in 1992.
"Star Girl" is the second single from McFly's third studio album, Motion in the Ocean, which was released in the UK on 23 October 2006. The song was the band's sixth no. 1 single in the UK, staying in the Top Ten for two weeks. In 2009, the song was played in space to wake up the astronauts on the space station, with thanks to a successful Twitter campaign started by band member Tom Fletcher, asking NASA to play the song in space.
"Lil Star" is the second international single from Kelis' fourth studio album, Kelis Was Here (2006). Released outside US, the single features Cee-Lo, who is known for being a half of the duo Gnarls Barkley. Following the moderate success of "Bossy", the single has proven to be a return to form for Kelis; it debuted at number eight in Ireland and was also a huge hit in the United Kingdom reaching number three on the UK Singles Chart. The track was hailed by many music fans and critics as Kelis' "comeback" single, despite the fact "Bossy" was written specifically for Kelis' return to music.
"Super Duper Love " is a song by Willie "Sugar Billy" Garner, released in 1975 as a single from his 1975 album Super Duper Love. It samples parts of Aretha Franklin's 1968 song 'Groovin'. It was made famous when English singer Joss Stone covered the song's part one for her debut album, The Soul Sessions (2003), from which it was released in May 2004 as the second and final single under the title "Super Duper Love". A live performance of James Brown's 1966 song "It's a Man's Man's Man's World", retitled "It's a Man's Man's World", is included as a B-side to the CD single.
"Just Looking" is a 1999 single by British rock band Stereophonics. It is the second single from their second album Performance and Cocktails. It was released on 22 February 1999 and reached number four on the UK Singles Chart and number 18 in Ireland. It was certified Silver by the British Phonographic Industry for sales of over 200,000 in 2002. An acoustic version is featured on CD two of the "Step On My Old Size Nines" single. The song was also featured on the 2006 movie Snow Cake starring Alan Rickman, Sigourney Weaver, and Carrie-Anne Moss.
"You Needed Me" is a song written by Randy Goodrum, who describes it as being about "unconditional undeserved love". It was a number one hit single in the United States in 1978 for Canadian singer Anne Murray, for which she won a Grammy Award. In 1999, Irish pop band Boyzone recorded a hit cover of the song that hit number one on the UK Singles Chart.
"Starcrossed" is the third single from the Meltdown album by the band Ash. It was released as a single in 2004 as a single CD, a gatefold 7" vinyl, as well as on DVD format and various promo copies. "Starcrossed" was A-listed on BBC Radio 1 and was expected to be a major hit for the band, but it only made it to number 22 on the UK Singles Chart and number 43 in Ireland. However, the song was successful in the long run for the band and is considered one of their most popular songs.
"Sundown" is a song by British pop group S Club 8, released as the second single and title track from their album of the same name Sundown. Released on 29 September 2003, the single peaked at number four on the UK Singles Chart.
