Seedhe Maut is a hip hop duo from Delhi, India, consisting of Siddhant Sharma (stage name Calm) and Abhijay Negi (stage name Encore ABJ). The two met at Spit Dope Inc., a Delhi underground battle rap league organised by MC Kode and Encore ABJ. [1] [2] They released their first track, "Seedhe Maut Anthem" in May 2017, followed by their debut mixtape 2 Ka Pahada. [3] In 2017, they signed to the independent music label Azadi Records. [4] In 2024, they founded their own label, DL91. [5]
Calm, who previously rapped in English, switched his language to Hindi. Since then, the duo has released two studio albums—Bayaan in 2018 and Nayaab in 2022—and three mixtapes—न [6] in 2021, Lunch Break in 2023, and Shakti in 2024, as well as singles, with many tracks produced by Calm and producer Sez on the Beat. The rap duo has made songs on romance, politics, Indian society and the education system, and their lifestyle. [7]
The duo was selected for the YouTube 2021 Class of Foundry. [8] In 2023, Seedhe Maut appeared on Coke Studio Bharat with Holi Re Rasiya. [9] 2023 also marked their departure from Azadi Records.

Korean hip-hop, also known as K-hip-hop or K-rap, is a subgenre of the South Korean popular music.
Indian hip hop is a genre of popular music developed in India. Desi hip hop is a term given by Bohemia for music and culture which combines the influences of hip hop and the Indian subcontinent; the term desi referring to the South Asian diaspora. The term has also come to be used as an alternative for rap music and even pop music which involves rappers of South Asian origins.
Mobb Deep was an American hip hop duo from Queens, New York formed in 1991. Consisting of rappers/songwriters/record producers Prodigy and Havoc, they are considered to be among the principal progenitors of hardcore East Coast hip hop. Mobb Deep became one of the most successful rap duos of all time, having sold over three million records. Their best-known albums are The Infamous (1995), Hell on Earth (1996) and Murda Muzik (1999), and their most successful singles were "Shook Ones " and "Survival of the Fittest." They were known for their dark and hardcore delivery.
Foreign Beggars were an English hip hop and dubstep group. Since their formation in 2002, the group's trajectory had seen them evolve from an underground hip hop group to an electronic crossover act. The group consisted of four artists individually known as Orifice Vulgatron, Metropolis Graham, DJ Nonames, and Dag Nabbit. Vulgatron and Metropolis combined with Noisia to make the side project and supergroup "I Am Legion". They released their collaborative album I Am Legion on 2 September 2013.
Ricardo Emmanuel Brown, better known by his stage name Kurupt, is an American rapper and record producer. Born and raised in Philadelphia, he formed Tha Dogg Pound in 1992 along with Daz Dillinger; the rap duo has released eight albums. He also formed the hip hop group The Hrsmn in 1996, with whom he has released two albums. His debut solo album, Kuruption! (1998) was released by A&M Records and peaked at number eight on the Billboard 200.

Badshah has his songs in Hindi, English, Punjabi and Harayanvi languages. Badshah has brought underground sounds to the mainstream with remarkable impact. Badshah has since made significant contributions to Indian hip-hop and rap music and Bollywood music. His notable works in Bollywood films include Kar Gayi Chull from Kapoor and Sons, Garmi from Street Dancer 3D, Naina from Crew, Proper Patola from Namaste England.

Vighnesh Shivanand, better known by his stage name Brodha V, is an Indian hip-hop artist, lyricist, rapper and music producer. Born in Kanchipuram, the Bengaluru-based artist started rapping at the age of 18 and took part in online rap battles on Orkut. As an independent artist, Brodha V released a mixtape called Deathpunch which had a limited release and which garnered him some attention from the hip hop fraternity and the independent music circuit in Southern India.
Vivian Wilson Fernandes, known professionally as Divine, is an Indian rapper. Born and raised in Andheri, Mumbai, Fernandes started gaining popularity after the release of his single "Yeh Mera Bombay" in 2013. He broke through with the release of "Mere Gully Mein" in 2015, which featured fellow Mumbai-based rapper Naezy.
Krishna Kaul, known mononymously as Krishna, stylised now as KR$NA, is an Indian rapper. He was one of the earliest rappers to emerge in the Indian hip hop scene in the mid-2000s under the stage name Prozpekt. He is widely acknowledged within the Desi Hip Hop community for pioneering a lyrical revolution in the genre, infusing a new wave of poetic depth and lyrical complexity into hip hop's narrative. He was also briefly featured in the 2019 Bollywood film Gully Boy as himself.
Arivarasu Kalainesan, more commonly known as Arivu, is an Indian rapper, singer, songwriter and composer. He is best known for his independent singles, including "Enjoy Enjaami", and for his work on film numbers like "Vaathi Raid" from Master (2021), "Single Pasanga" from Natpe Thunai (2019), "Neeye Oli" from Sarpatta Parambarai (2021) and "Golden Sparrow" from Nilavuku En Mel Ennadi Kobam.
Oasis is the annual cultural festival of the Birla Institute of Technology and Science, Pilani. Started back in 1971, it is one of the oldest cultural festivals in India.
