Salami Oluwasesan Abbas (born 26 November 1988), better known by his stage name Sess, or Sess the Prblm Kid (stylised Sess the PRBLM Kid), is a Nigerian singer, [1] songwriter, [2] and music producer. [3] He is known for solely producing Falz the Bahd Guy and Simi's joint EP, Chemistry. [4]
He is notable with the mainstream sound watermark, "Sess, the Problem Kid", on his produced instrumentals. [5]
Salami Oluwasesan Abbas is from Offa, a town in the state of Kwara. He was born into a family of four children in Sagamu, Ogun State before moving to Ilorin, Kwara State.
Sess attended the University of Ilorin Staff School for elementary education before moving on to Best Legacy International High School then Thomas Adewunmi International college for secondary school. He then went on to study law at University of Ilorin, and was called to the Nigerian Bar in 2012. [6]
He primarily produced Falz's second studio album Stories That Touch , [7] and the entirety of the collaborative EP Chemistry by Falz and Simi.
In 2016, Sess was nominated for African Producer of the Year at Soundcity MVP Awards Festival. [8]
In 2016, Stories That Touch won Album of the Year at the City People Entertainment Awards. In the same year, he won the New Discovery Producer of the Year and Afro Hip Hop Producer of the Year awards at The Beatz Awards 2016. [9]
In 2018, he primarily produced the album Moral Instruction by Falz. [10]

The Headies is a music awards show established in 2006 by the Hip Hop World Magazine of Nigeria to recognize outstanding achievements in the Nigerian music industry. The annual ceremony features performances by established and promising artists. It is broadcast live on HipTV to viewers across Nigeria. The first and second editions of The Headies were held at the Muson Center in Onikan, Lagos State. Between 2010 and 2012, the awards were held at the Eko Hotel and Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. Several media personalities in Nigeria have hosted the annual ceremony, including Darey Art Alade, D'banj, Dakore Egbuson, Banky W., Rita Dominic, M.I, Tiwa Savage and Dr SID.

Adekunle Almoruf Kosoko, known professionally as Adekunle Gold and AG Baby, is a Nigerian Afrobeats singer and songwriter currently signed to Def Jam Recordings. He gained widespread attention after releasing the 2015 hit single "Sade", a highlife cover of One Direction's "Story of My Life". He signed a record deal with YBNL Nation and released his 2015 debut studio album Gold, which debuted at number 7 on the Billboard World Albums chart. Gold was preceded by the release of three singles: "Sade", "Orente" and "Pick Up". Simisola Bolatito Kosoko, better known by her stage name Simi, is a Nigerian singer, songwriter, and actress. She started her career as a gospel singer, releasing her debut studio album in 2008, titled Ogaju. She also played as one of the top judges in season 7 of the Nigerian idol TV show in 2022. She gained public recognition in 2014 after releasing "Tiff", a song that was nominated for Best Alternative Song at The Headies 2015. Simi signed a record deal with X3M Music in 2014, but left the label in May 2019 following the expiration of her contract. She released her second studio album Simisola on September 8, 2017. Sodiq Abubakar Yusuf popularly known by his stage name CDQ, is a Nigerian indigenous rapper, singer and songwriter best known for his single "Nowo E Soke" featuring Wizkid and Masterkraft's Indomie where he was featured alongside Olamide. It was primarily produced by Oscar, with additional production from Vtek, Legendury Beatz and Sess. Simi dedicated the album to her father Charles Oladele Ogunleye, who died in 2014. The BlockParty Series started in Lagos, Nigeria as Mainland BlockParty in 2018. The party series comprises Island BlockParty, Capital BlockParty, Garden BlockParty, Premier BlockParty, Gold BlockParty, and a BlockParty pop-up at Afro Nation. The album features guest appearances from Show Dem Camp, Yemi Alade, Phyno, Reminisce, Simi, Sess, Poe, Shaydee, Chigul, M.I., Bez, Oyinkansola, Chyn and Reekado Banks. Production was primarily handled by Sess, with additional production from Tin Tin, Oscar Heman-Ackah and Spax.
