Seth M.R. Jaipuria Schools is a group of schools run by the Seth M.R. Jaipuria Group. [1] The schools draw their name from 1971 Padma Bhushan awardee Mungtu Ram Jaipuria, a philanthropist and industrialist who played a dominant role in the industrialization of the nation after independence. [2]
The group started its first school in Lucknow in 1992, Seth M.R.Jaipuria School, Lucknow.
As of 2026, the group operates over 60 K-12 schools across 51 cities in 6 states of India, providing education to over 55,000 students and employing over 3,000 educators. [3] The group has been expanding rapidly, with schools across Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan, Uttarakhand, and Telangana.
In February 2024, the group announced plans for further expansion in Bihar with 10+ new schools, aiming to provide education to 20,000 additional students in the state. [4] In December 2024, a new school was opened in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh, with plans for 10 more schools in the state over the next five years. In February 2025, two new campuses were announced in Lucknow at Vrindavan Yojna and Mohanlalganj. [5] [6]
Several Jaipuria School campuses have appeared in national and state-level school rankings. Seth M.R. Jaipuria School, Lucknow (Gomti Nagar), was included in the Cfore School Rankings 2025, placing among the top co-educational day schools in Uttar Pradesh. [3] The school has also been listed among the top schools in Uttar Pradesh by Shiksha.com. [4] A Times of India article listed it among the best co-educational schools in the state. [5]
The group's educators have been quoted as subject matter experts in media coverage of CBSE board examinations. [6] Chairman Sharad Jaipuria has authored opinion pieces on education policy in national publications. [7] [8]
