Sewdatt Shivnarine (born May 13, 1952) is a West Indian former cricketer [1] who played in eight Tests and one ODI from 1978 to 1979. He emigrated to the United States, represented their national cricket team.

The Emirates Elite Panel of ICC Referees is composed of former international cricket players who are appointed by the ICC to oversee all Test match, One Day International and Twenty20 International cricket matches in the capacity of Match referee. The Test series will form part of the inaugural 2019–21 ICC World Test Championship and the ODI series will form part of the inaugural 2020–22 ICC Cricket World Cup Super League. In February 2020, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that they wanted to play one of the Test matches as a day/night fixture. On 22 October 2020, the tour was approved by the NSW Government, with Sydney and Canberra confirmed as the hosts of the limited overs matches. Four days later, Cricket Australia confirmed the fixtures for the tour. On 9 November 2020, the BCCI announced that India's captain Virat Kohli had been granted paternity leave, and would leave the tour after the first Test match, with Ajinkya Rahane leading the team in Kohli's absence.
