Career

Indian actor Shadab Kamal began his career in 2011 with the movie Sugar Baby. Following which the actor went on to make his lead role debut in 2013 with Ajay Bahl`s B.A. Pass which received critical acclaim and won the Best Film Award in the `Indian competition` section at the 2012 Osian's Cinefan Festival of Asian and Arab Cinema. Shadab also received Best Actor award the event. The actor has since then appeared in movies such as Meeruthiya Gangsters (2015), Har Har Byomkesh (2015), and Gaon (2017). His 2018 release includes Gaon: The Village No More, directed by Gautam Singh. He acted in movie Upstarts which was released in 2019. [3]

Celluloid is a 2013 Indian Malayalam-language biographical film co-produced, written and directed by Kamal, starring Prithviraj, Sreenivasan, Mamta Mohandas and Chandni in the lead roles. The film is a biopic based on the life story of J.C. Daniel, the father of Malayalam cinema, the making of his film Vigathakumaran and the story of Vigathakumaran's heroine P. K. Rosie. <i>Upstarts</i> (film) 2019 Indian comedy-drama film

Upstarts is an Indian comedy-drama film directed by Udai Singh Pawar and Produced by Janani Ravichandran and Jawahar Sharma. The film stars Priyanshu Painyuli, Chandrachoor Rai and Shadab Kamal in the lead roles and follows the story of three college graduates who create a startup and the events that follow. It was released on 18 October, 2019 on Netflix. Upstart was announced by Netflix among the nine films to be made by them. Raja Krishna Menon served as the creative producer.
