Shadipur Depot is a residential and industrial area in West Delhi, named after nearby Shadipur settlement. This is also a depot for the Delhi Transport Corporation (DTC). It is also known for the 'Baljit Nagar', were in Kathputli Colony, puppeteers, magicians, acrobats, dancers and musicians, and other itinerant performance groups have settled for half a century. The area is serviced by Shadipur Station of Delhi Metro Shadipur Station. Close to it lies a critical intersection, where the average number of vehicles on a typical summer evening passing through the intersection per green signal is 280. The number of cars and buses that populate that stretch of the movement is about 148. The sign of the previous intersection is also usually synchronized with this one.

The Kirti Nagar metro station is an interchange station between the Blue Line and Green Line of Delhi Metro. It is one of the eastward terminal stations of the Green Line, the other being Inderlok, and was opened as a part of a small 3.41 km (2.12 mi) branch from this station to Ashok Park Main station on 27 August 2011. This allowed passengers to easily transfer between the Red Line and Blue Line of the network.

Nagpur Metro is a rapid transit system for the city of Nagpur, Maharashtra, India. Phase I of the metro project cost was estimated to cost ₹8,650 crore but the final project cost incurred was ₹9,279 crore (US$1.2 billion). In February 2014, the Government of Maharashtra gave approval for the Metro project, while the Government of India's Ministry of Urban Development had given "In Principle" approval for the project. On 20 August 2014, Union Cabinet gave approval for the development of the project, and the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone on 21 August. Construction began on 31 May 2015, with trial run beginning on 30 September 2017.
Kathputli Colony is a colony of street performers in Shadipur Depot area of Delhi. For the last 50 years, it is home to some 2,800 families of magicians, snake charmers, acrobats, singers, dancers, actors, traditional healers and musicians and especially puppeteers or kathputli-performers from Rajasthan. This makes it world’s largest community of street performers.
