Shahrokh Bayani (born 31 December 1960) is an Iranian former football midfielder who played for Iran in the 1984 Asian Cup. He also played for Esteghlal, Al-Shamal and Zob Ahan and Iran national football team. [1]
On 19 January 2026, Bayani publicly criticized the several foreign footballers playing for Esteghlal who did not return to Iran in the wake of the 2025–2026 Iranian protests, stating that "Recent events are a good excuse for these people. I knew they would leave if they found an excuse, and now their excuse is the protests in Iran." [2]
