Shane Stewart (born May 24, 1976) is an American retired professional racing driver. Winner of the 2015 Kings Royal, he last competed in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series and the All Star Series of Champions. [1]
A native of Bixby, Oklahoma, [2] Stewart began racing quarter midgets at age seven; [3] he began racing sprint cars at age 16, tutored by Andy Hillenburg. [4] He began competing in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series in 1995; he went full-time in the series in 2005, [5] winning the series' Rookie of the Year title. [6] He ran the full season again in 2008 for Roth Motorsports. [7] Stewart also competed in 360ci sprint car competition; in 2007 he was champion of the Northwest Sprint Challenge Speedweek, [7] and he ran several seasons in the American Sprint Car Series, winning the ASCS national touring title in 2009, [8] and then again in 2011 by a single point over Johnny Herrera. [9] He won the Knoxville 360 Nationals five times; [10] won the Canadian Sprint Car Nationals three times, tied for the most wins in the event with Steve Poirier. [11] Stewart was named 360 Sprint Car Driver of the Year in 2009, [12] and again in 2011, [13] by the National Sprint Car Hall of Fame & Museum. [14]
Stewart joined the newly-formed Larson Marks Racing, later known as Kyle Larson Racing, for the 2014 season. [15] He drove for the team through the end of 2018, winning 35 feature events over multiple series, [16] including the 2015 Kings Royal at Eldora Speedway, one of sprint car racing's most prestigious events. [17] [18] His best World of Outlaws points finish came that year, when he finished second in the standings to Donny Schatz. [19] In 2016 he won the off-season Winter Heat Sprint Car Showdown championship at Cocopah Speedway. [20]
Stewart joined CJB Motorsports for the 2019 World of Outlaws season, replacing David Gravel; [21] he won the series's special event at Nashville's Fairgrounds Speedway, [22] but left the team at the end of the year due to a lack of chemistry. [23]
Stewart considered retiring following the 2019 season, having spent two seasons with growing frustration over a lack of stability and performance. [24] Choosing to return to competition instead, he signed to run ten races with Roth Motorsports; [25] after these events were cancelled due to the COVID-19 pandemic, Stewart ran the majority of the 2020 World of Outlaws season with the No. 71 team owned by Bernie Stuebgen. [26] He won for the team at Williams Grove Speedway in the track's prestigious Summer Nationals, [27] and then at Lakeside Speedway in October, [28] in the first of two races in which he was substituting for David Gravel, who was competing in NASCAR Gander Outdoors Truck Series events, for Jason Johnson Racing. At the end of the 2020 season, Stewart announced his retirement from active competition, purchasing his home track, Port City Raceway, to promote races there. [30] [31]

Kasey Kenneth Kahne is an American dirt track racing driver and former professional stock car racing driver. He last competed in the Monster Energy NASCAR Cup Series in 2018, driving the No. 95 Dumont Jets/Procore Technologies Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 for Leavine Family Racing.
David Louis Blaney is a semi-retired American professional stock car racing driver. Blaney was a successful sprint car driver before he started racing in NASCAR, competing in both the Sprint Cup Series and Nationwide Series. For many years, he was a regular at Super Dirt Week in Syracuse, New York, although he never won that event. He owns Sharon Speedway in Hartford Township, Trumbull County, Ohio. His brother Dale Blaney is a sprint car driver. His son, Ryan Blaney, is also a NASCAR competitor.
Blake Feese is a second-generation American auto racing driver. He competed in USAC before joining Hendrick Motorsports in 2004 and 2005 as a development driver, racing in ARCA and the NASCAR Busch Series for the team. After being released from that deal, he drove in those two series as well as the NASCAR Truck Series part-time with a number of other teams through 2011.
Timothy Tyler Andrew Walker is an American professional stock car racing driver. Walker is one of many racers who has competed in many interdisciplinary automotive ranks. His automotive exploits include cycling competition, open-wheeled sprint cars, where has obtained a large majority of his success and notoriety, as well as being a stock car pilot, formerly competing in the prestigious NASCAR ranks. The first fourth-generation driver to compete in NASCAR since the late Adam Petty, Walker is but one member of a racing legacy.
David Steele was an American professional racing driver who won numerous sprint car racing championships and also competed in IndyCar and NASCAR races. Steele last drove a winged sprint car in the Southern Sprintcar Shootout Series, where he won the first 5 races in series history. Steele was killed in a crash at Desoto Speedway on March 25, 2017.
Danny "The Dude" Lasoski is an American sprint car racing driver from Dover, Missouri.
Bryan Clauson was an American professional auto racing driver. Best known for his achievements in dirt track open-wheel racing, such as USAC Silver Crown, Midget and Sprint cars. Bryan was seen more and more competing with the World of Outlaws (WoO) sprint cars in his last couple of years. Clauson was a dirt track icon who also competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series, Indy Lights, and IndyCar Series and was a development driver for Chip Ganassi Racing.
Beaver Dam Raceway is a one-third mile banked clay oval track located in Beaver Dam, Wisconsin, U.S.A.. The track holds weekly races over the Northern American summer months. It hosts an annual World of Outlaws sprint car races. The 2013 U.S. Dirt Legends Nationals event was held at the track. The World of Outlaws Late Model Series added an event in 2020. It has held midget car events on the POWRi Midget Racing and USAC National Midgets national tours.
Bradley Sweet is an American professional race car driver and a veteran of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, driving the No. 49 for Kasey Kahne Racing, where he has earned the nickname 'The Big Cat'. Sweet was formerly a JR Motorsports development driver in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.
Kyle Miyata Larson, nicknamed "Yung Money", is an American professional auto racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 5 Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 1LE for Hendrick Motorsports. He is the 2012 NASCAR K&N Pro Series East champion and Rookie of the Year, the 2013 NASCAR Nationwide Series Rookie of the Year as well as the 2014 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series Rookie of the Year.
Kevin Swindell is an American racing driver, who has competed in USAC and NASCAR competition. He has won 77 races in various dirt racing series including the Chili Bowl Nationals. Swindell is the son of three time World of Outlaws Sprint Car champion Sammy Swindell.
Rico Emanuel Abreu is an American professional dirt track and stock car racing driver. Abreu won the 2014 USAC National Midget Series championship, and previously competed in the K&N Pro Series East in 2015 scoring one win.
Christopher David Bell is an American professional stock car racing driver and a Toyota Racing Development driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 20 Toyota Camry for Joe Gibbs Racing. He is the 2017 NASCAR Camping World Truck Series Champion.
Chase David Wayne Briscoe is an American professional stock car racing driver. He competes full-time in the NASCAR Cup Series, driving the No. 14 Ford Mustang for Stewart-Haas Racing. David Gravel is an American professional racing driver. He competes full-time in the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, driving the No. 2 Maxim for Big Game Motorsports, in the NASCAR Gander RV & Outdoors Truck Series, driving the No. 24 Chevrolet Silverado for GMS Racing, and in the ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 28 Chevrolet SS for KBR Development. Gravel is the most recent winner of the Knoxville Nationals.
Giovanni Scelzi is an American racing driver. He currently competes full-time in the ARCA Menards Series West and part-time in the ARCA Menards Series East and ARCA Menards Series, driving the No. 16 Toyota for Bill McAnally Racing in all three series. Fielding cars for Shane Stewart and later Carson Macedo, the team won over 40 sprint car races across multiple series between 2014 and 2020; Larson himself has won multiple crown jewel midget races driving for the team.
Daryn Pittman is an American retired professional racing driver. Winner of the 2008 Kings Royal and 2013 champion of the World of Outlaws Sprint Car Series, he retired following the 2020 season.
