Shanice Lorraine Wilson-Knox is an American singer-songwriter, actress and dancer. Shanice had the Billboard hit singles "I Love Your Smile" and "Silent Prayer" in 1991 and "Saving Forever for You" in 1993. In 1999, Shanice scored another hit song, "When I Close My Eyes", which peaked at No. 12 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Shanice is recognized for her coloratura soprano voice and her ability to sing in the whistle register.
Every Woman Dreams is the fifth studio album by American R&B singer Shanice. It was released on February 21, 2006, on her independent label Imajah/PlayTyme. Shanice's first release following her eight-year hiatus since her last album in 1999 on LaFace Records, the album debuted at number 194 on US Billboard 200 and number 30 on the R&B/Hip-Hop Albums chart with first-week sales of 5,901 copies. Two singles from the album were released: "Every Woman Dreams" and "Take Care of U".

"I Love Your Smile" is a song by American singer-songwriter Shanice, released in October 1991 as the lead single from her second studio album, Inner Child (1991). The song features a saxophone solo by Branford Marsalis as well as laughter from Janet Jackson and René Elizondo Jr. near the end of the song. It was produced by Narada Michael Walden, and the radio version of the song removes the rap bridge from the album version. To date, "I Love Your Smile" is Shanice's best known and most successful hit.

On April 3, 1999, the single made chart history when it made the biggest jump in the history of the Billboard Hot 100, moving 75 positions from number 91 to number 16, a record held by the single until 2006. It became her first top 20 hit since "Saving Forever for You," and her last one to date.
