ShellShock Live is a multiplayer artillery strategy video game developed and published by kChamp Games based in California, United States. [1] It is the successor of two flash games in the ShellShock Live series released between 2010 and 2012 by the same developer. [2] It was released on platforms such as Microsoft Windows, Mac, Linux, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4 and is now available on mobile platforms Android and iOS as of May 12, 2022.
Players control tanks in a 2D landscape. They aim and shoot the enemy tanks to defeat them with their own in team or free-for-all matches. Shots can be fired after maneuvering its trajectory by adjusting its angle by 360° and power by 0-100. Up to 8 players can play in a match. There are nine game modes and more than 400 weapons that can be obtained by leveling up, completing challenges, or bought in the shop. The game also offers stat and cosmetic upgrades for player tanks and its maps. [3]
It was released as early access on March 11, 2015 on Steam for PC. On March 8, 2019 it was released on Xbox One [4] [5] and on September 13 of the same year on PlayStation 4. [6] On May 12, 2022, the developers announced on Steam [7] that the game was now available for iOS and Android devices. The release date [8] as well as a beta version [9] had been announced in previous Developer Updates.

In video games with online gaming functionality, also called cross-compatible play, cross-platform play, crossplay, or cross-play describes the ability of players using different video game hardware to play with each other simultaneously. Early alpha and beta versions were browser-based and free-to-play. On October 14, 2018, the game was released for iOS and Android mobile devices after a successful and long-supported Kickstarter fundraiser.

The service primarily offers games that were previously delisted from app stores or are no longer actively maintained by their original developers, updated to support newer devices and software. They have since expanded to releasing mobile ports of games available for PC and console.
