Shevils is a Norwegian hardcore band from Oslo, Norway. The band has produced three full-length albums, two of which are self-released. They have toured Norway extensively from south to north [2] and playing Norway's big festivals such as Oyafestivalen [3] and Trondheim Calling. [4] Shevils last 3 releases were recorded, mixed and produced by Marcus Forsgren (Jaga Jazzist, The Lionheart Brothers, Silence the Foe & U-FOES).

Discography

The Year of the Fly (2011)

Shevils released its debut album The Year of the Fly in November 2011. The album was produced by Milton Von Krogh, of the Norwegian hard rock band Pirate Love, and David Husvik of Extol and Doctor Midnight & The Mercy Cult. [5] Many guest vocalists were featured on the album including Ivar Nikolaisen (Silver), Silje Tombre (Blood Command) og Morten Øby (The Lionheart Brothers) as well as a guitar solo by Milton Von Krogh on To Wear A Whale. [6]

Lost In Tartarus (2013)

The second full-length album for Shevils, Lost In Tartarus, was released two years after The Year of the Fly in November 2013 with the album art by Chris Faccone. [7] The record caught the attention of many blogs and music news outlets and as a result gathered over 30 reviews of the album. [8] The album also received radio play on Ruben, NRK Urørt and Pyro which named Shevils one of Norway's most promising bands in 2013. [9] Singles from Lost In Tartarus A-listed on student radio in Bergen. [10] and in Oslo. [11] The band decided to release Lost In Tartarus independently so that it would get released as quickly as possible. [12]

The White Sea (2015)

Deciding to go the self-released route once again, Shevils' third full-length release, The White Sea came in November 2015, again sporting another piece of album art by Chris Faccone. [13] Once again The White Sea was noticed by blogs and music publications in Norway and worldwide. The White Sea was one of Metal Hammer Norway's top albums of 2015. [14]

The Miracle of the Sun (2021)

Shevils released the album Miracle of the Sun on 7 May 2021, and has received praise and honour from a series of different magazines, websites and blogs, both in Norway and abroad. Madrugada (band) Norwegian rock band

Madrugada is a Norwegian alternative rock band formed in the town of Stokmarknes in 1993. The key band members included Sivert Høyem (vocals), Robert Burås (guitar) and Frode Jacobsen (bass). After Burås' death on 12 July 2007, Høyem and Jacobsen decided to finish recording what was to be their final album with the original lineup. On 21 January 2008, the band released Madrugada and announced that they would split after one last tour. They performed their final concert of this tour on 15 November 2008.

DumDum Boys

DumDum Boys are a Norwegian rock band from Trondheim. They are one of the most successful Norwegian rock acts of all time, and are considered one of the "four great" bands who popularized modern rock with Norwegian lyrics in the mid-to-late 1980s. Before breaking into the mainstream they were known as a punk rock act under the name Wannskrækk.

Ronni Le Tekrø Norwegian guitarist (born 1963)

Ronni Le Tekrø is a Norwegian guitarist best known for playing with the Norwegian hard rock band TNT and as a solo guitarist cooperating with guitarists Terje Rypdal and Mads Eriksen as "N3". LeTekrø was born in Oslo but moved to Raufoss at a young age, and has lived there all his life except for the period between 1982 and 1985, when he lived in Trondheim.

Nick Larkins is an Australian rock musician who has played with various Australian acts, and solo. Nick was born in London but raised in Hobart, Tasmania. Larkins has been highly nomadic for much of his career. He has usually been based in the city of Melbourne, known as the live music capital of Australia, but has also lived and worked in Europe several times.

Sivert Høyem Norwegian musician (born 1976)

Sivert Høyem is a Norwegian musician, best known as the vocalist of the rock band Madrugada. After the band broke up following the death of Robert Burås in 2007, he has enjoyed success as a solo artist and is also a member of The Volunteers with whom he released the album Exiles in 2006.

Mirror Lakes is a Norwegian band established by guitar player Knut Schreiner and Frode Fivel as lead acts of the band, after they met at a concert in Oslo. Disaster In The Universe Band

Disaster In The Universe is a psychedelic (psychedelia), rock-pop-dub-band from Oslo, Norway. The band worked with Empire of the Sun producer Peter Mayes on their debut album Coconut Message, which was released in Norway in the spring of 2014. The album received critical acclaim from the Norwegian music press, amongst those a rating of 5/6 from national newspaper Dagbladet. The band has played at many large festivals in Norway such as the Hove Festival, the Øya Festival, Slottsfjellfestivalen and By:Larm, and has also played support for Crystal Fighters. Ross Allen from Island Records (UK) and Flora Wong from Dazed Digital rated Disaster In The Universe as the best concert they saw at the entire Øya Festival in 2012. In the summer of 2014, the band announced a tour of Germany, the Netherlands and other European countries during the autumn of 2014 and the spring of 2015.

Posthum is a black metal band from Nannestad, Norway. The band was founded in 2004 by Jon Kristian Skare and Morten Edseth (drums). The music is more to the ambient/progressive side of the genre than the aggressive, and can be compared to acts like Wolves in the Throne Room, Ulver, or old Enslaved.

Lukas Kasha is a Norwegian rock band, based in Oslo. They released their debut album, Animated People's Republic, on January 29, 2007. The first single off the album was Love Abuse', which was played on heavy rotation on Norwegian radio from the fall of 2006 to early 2007, and was later included in the soundtrack for the video game by EA Sports, FIFA 08. Over the last few years, Lukas Kasha has played at the Popkomm festival in Berlin, the Eurosonic Festival in Groningen, the Reeperbahn festival in Hamburg, Liverpool Music Week and the IUSY festival in Alicante, besides touring Norway, including Øyafestivalen in Oslo and by:Larm. They have supported or shared stage with, amongst others, Juliette & the Licks, Shout Out Louds, Infadels, The Dears, The Raveonettes, Dungen, Johnossi, Telex and Brakes.

SIBIIR is a Norwegian blackened hardcore band from Oslo. The band was formed in 2014, and released their first single in 2015. Since then, SIBIIR has released two critically acclaimed albums on the label Fysisk Format.
