Shin Young-kyun (born November 6, 1928) is a South Korean actor, film producer, and politician. [1]

Biography

Shin Young-kyun was born in Pyongsan, Kōkai-dō, Korea, Empire of Japan (now Hwanghae Province, North Korea) in 1928. When he was 10 years old, Shin went to Seoul. While studying dentistry at Seoul National University, he participated in a drama club where he got to know Park Am, Gil Yok-yun, and Lee Nak-hoon, who later became actors and composer. [2]

Moon Hee is a South Korean actress born in Pusan, July 16, 1947 and has been active since 1965. While attending Seorabeol Art College with a film and theater major, she applied for recruiting new actors by KBS TV. When she was attending for a camera test, Moon was picked up by an assistant director of Lee Man-hee. She was cast to star in Lee's film Heukmaek. She was commonly referred to as one of the "Troika" along with her rival actresses, Yoon Jeong-hee and Nam Jeong-im of the 1960s and early 1970s. Moon Hee retired from the acting career when she married Jang Gang-jae, the vice president of Hankook Ilbo in November 1971 who later became the chair of the newspaper company.

Kim Ji-mee is a South Korean actress, producer, and film planner whose activity began in 1957. She was born in Daedeok, South Chungcheong province, Korea, Empire of Japan in 1940. While a student of Deokseong Girls' High School, Kim was cast to Kim Ki-young's film, Hwanghon yeolcha (황혼열차) in 1957. Kim has been commonly dubbed "Elizabeth Taylor of Korea" by the South Korean news media for her resemblance with the American actress' appearance and popularity as well as her many marriages and divorces.

Choi Moo-ryong was a South Korean actor, producer, and director who is father of Choi Min-soo

Tae Hyun-sil is a South Korean actress. Tae was born in Songjin, North Hamgyong province, Korea in 1941. While studying Film at Dongguk University, she was selected as a TV actress in a public recruit held by KBS. While preparing to star for a drama series, Tae was offered to be an exclusive actress of Shin Film established by Shin Sang-ok. Tae's debut film is Beautiful Shroud directed by Lee Hyeong-pyo in 1962. With the film, she won New Actress from the 1963 Buil Awards. Since her debut as an actress, Tae has starred in about 300 films. 250 films were shot during 7 years, and were mostly roles in depicting a cheerful university student or cute daughter characters. Tae married businessman Kim Cheol-hwan in 1968.

Namkoong Won was a South Korean actor. Namkoong was born Hong Gyeong-il in 1934. He was a popular actor of the 1960s along with Shin Seong-il, Shin Young-kyun and Choi Moo-ryong. His son was South Korean politician, Hong Jung-wook. Namkoong died from cancer at the Asan Medical Center in Seoul, on 5 February 2024, at the age of 89.

Park Noh-sik was a South Korean actor. Park was born in Suncheon, Zenranan-dō, Korea, Empire of Japan in 1930. Park graduated from Suncheon School of Education. Park debuted as an actor in 1956 by starring in Gyeoktoe (격퇴) directed by Lee Gang-cheon. Park had starred in over 900 films and established his career as an action film star. In the 1970s, Park started directing.

Nicknamed "Nation's Little Brother", he went on to play the younger characters of the lead roles in films and television series such as in A Frozen Flower (2008), Giant (2010), Moon Embracing the Sun (2012), and Missing You (2012).
