Aaron Mike Oquaye is a Ghanaian barrister and politician who served as the sixth Speaker of Parliament of the Fourth Republic of Ghana from 2017 to 2021. An academic,diplomat and Baptist minister,he previously held the cabinet ministerial portfolios for energy and communication and was also the Ghanaian High Commissioner to India and Maldives in the Kufuor administration.
Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo is a Ghanaian politician who has served as the president of Ghana since 7 January 2017. In 2020,he was re-elected for his second term,which will end on 6 January 2025. Akufo-Addo previously served as Attorney General from 2001 to 2003 and as Minister for Foreign Affairs from 2003 to 2007 under the Kufuor-led administration. He is currently serving his second term as the chairman of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS).

The Oti Region is one of the six regions created regions of Ghana in December 2018. The region was carved out of the northern part of the Volta Region and will be in fulfillment of a campaign promise made by New Patriotic Party.
