Shooting at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa was held from 15 to 19 July 2019 at the Tafaigata Shooting Range near Apia. [1] [2] [3] Five disciplines were contested; three on the down-the-line shotgun range, and two at the indoor pistol range. [4] Medals were awarded for both individual and team events in each discipline. The competition was not gender specific, with all events open to men and women. [4]

Netball is a ball sport played on a rectangular court by two teams of seven players. The primary objective is to shoot a ball through the defender's goal ring while preventing the opposing team from shooting through their own goal ring. It is one of a few sports created exclusively for women and girls and remains primarily played by them, on indoor and outdoor courts, especially in schools and most popularly in the Commonwealth of Nations.
The American Samoa men's national football team represents American Samoa in men's international association football and is controlled by the Football Federation American Samoa, the governing body of the sport in the territory. American Samoa's home ground is the Pago Park Soccer Stadium in Pago Pago and their head coach is Tunoa Lui.
The Pacific Games, is a continental multi-sport event held every four years among athletes from Oceania. The inaugural Games took place in 1963 in Suva, Fiji, and most recently in 2023 in Honiara, Solomon Islands. The Games were called the South Pacific Games from 1963 to 2007. The Pacific Games Council (PGC) organises the Games and oversees the host city's preparations. Athletes with a disability are included as full members of their national teams. In each sporting event, gold medals are awarded for first place, silver medals are awarded for second place, and bronze medals are awarded for third place.
The Pacific Nations Cup is an international rugby union competition held between three Pacific states: Fiji, Samoa and Tonga. The 2019 edition of the tournament also included the national teams of Canada, Japan and United States. First held in 2006, the tournament is intended to strengthen the Tier 2 rugby teams by providing competitive test matches in a tournament format.
The 2007 South Pacific Games were held in Apia, Samoa, from 25 August to 8 September 2007. The Games were the thirteenth to be held since the inception of the South Pacific Games in 1963, and included traditional multi-sport event disciplines, such as athletics and swimming, alongside region-specific and smaller events such as outrigger canoeing, surfing and lawn bowls.
The Pacific Mini Games is a continental multi-sport event contested by countries and territories located in Oceania. The event has been held every four years since the inaugural games in Honiara, Solomon Islands in 1981. It was known as the South Pacific Mini Games prior to 2009. It is called the 'Mini' games because it is a scaled-down version of the main Pacific Games and is similarly rotated on a four-year basis in the intervening years between the main Games.
The 2011 Pacific Games took place in Nouméa, New Caledonia, from August 27 to September 10, 2011. Nouméa was the 14th host of the Pacific Games. Upon closure of the registration for entries, "some 4,300 athletes" had registered from the twenty-two competing nations, although it was expected that not all would attend.
The 2019 Pacific Games was the sixteenth edition of the Pacific Games. The Games were held in Apia, Samoa, returning there for the first time since 2007. It was the third time overall that the Pacific Games were held in Samoa.
Shooting at the 2015 Pacific Games was held from 6–11 July at the June Valley Shooting Range in Port Moresby, Papua New Guinea. Tahiti and Fiji were the most successful nations, winning three gold medals each. Medals were initially awarded for teams in the pistol shooting section, but as team events for pistols were not included in the official schedule those medals were withdrawn.
Archery at the Pacific Games was first contested at the 1971 games at Papeete. Archery was made a core sport in 2021, and is thus required to be included at every subsequent edition of the Pacific Games. It has also been included in the Pacific Mini Games, firstly at Norfolk Island in 2001 and then Port Vila in 2017.
Outrigger canoeing at the 2019 Pacific Games was held in Samoa from 9–13 July at the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort, Mulifanua, which is approximately 40 kilometres west of the capital, Apia.
Archery at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa was held on 8–12 July 2019. The tournament was played on the outdoor target archery range at the Faleata Sports Complex in Tuanaimato, and included both recurve and compound bow events. Medals were awarded in men's and women's individual contests as well as for mixed team competitions.
Sailing at the 2019 Pacific Games was held in Samoa from 9–19 July on the Mulifanua sailing course at the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort at Mulifanua which is approximately 40 kilometres west of the capital, Apia. The competition schedule included men's, women's and team events. The equipment classes used were the Laser and Laser Radial dinghies, plus the Hobie 16 catamaran.
Swimming at the 2019 Pacific Games in Samoa was held on 8–13 July 2019 at the Samoa Aquatic Centre in Apia, with the Sheraton Samoa Beach Resort in Mulifanua hosting the open water swim.
Shooting at the 2003 South Pacific Games was held from 8–11 July at the Royal Fiji Military Forces Shooting Range at Vatuwaqa in Suva, Fiji. The competition was postponed for four days from the original schedule due to high winds at the venue. Tahiti and Fiji were the most successful gold medal-winning nations, winning four and two respectively.
Shooting at the 2007 South Pacific Games was held in Samoa from 27–29 August at the Tafaigata Shooting Range near Apia. All medal event took place on the down-the-line shotgun range, although a pistol shooting demonstration event was also hosted.
Squash at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa was held on 8–19 July 2019. The competition schedule included men's, women's and mixed events. The tournament was played on the Samoa Squash Courts at the Faleata Sports Complex in Tuanaimato, and the Oceania Squash Championships were held in conjunction with the Pacific Games at the same venue.
Golf at the 2019 Pacific Games was held on 10–13 July 2019 at the Royal Samoa Golf Course in Fagali'i, approximately 5 kilometres south-east of Apia. Men's and women's tournaments were played, with medals awarded for individual and team events in each.
Weightlifting at the 2019 Pacific Games in Apia, Samoa was held on 9–13 July 2019 at the Faleata Sports Complex in Tuanaimato. The competition included ten men's and ten women's weight classes, with separate medals awarded in each weight class for the snatch and clean and jerk, as well as for the total lift.
