Shooting sports have been included at every Summer Olympic Games since the birth of the modern Olympic movement at the 1896 Summer Olympics except at the 1904 and 1928 games.
Haiti competed at the 1924 Summer Olympics in Paris, France. These Games were held from 4 May to 27 July 1924. The country's participation in Paris marked its second appearance at the Summer Olympics since its debut in 1900.
Liechtenstein competed at the 1936 Summer Olympics in Berlin, Germany, which took place from 1 to 16 August 1936. It was the first Summer Olympics in which Liechtenstein competed, as the Liechtenstein Olympic Committee had been founded the year prior. Six male competitors took part in five events in three sports. None of them won medals.
Guy Starik is an Israeli sport shooter who has competed in four Olympics. He has won gold medals in shooting at both the European Championships and at four World Cups, and shares the world record in the 50 meter rifle prone competition.
James Charles Huckle is an English sport shooter, who represented Great Britain at the 2012 Summer Olympics.
Jonathan William James Hammond is a British sport shooter, who has competed for Scotland at the Commonwealth Games and Great Britain at the Olympics. He is currently the head coach of the rifle team at the West Virginia University.
Niccolò Campriani is an Italian sport shooter and shooting coach. He competed at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Beijing in the men's 10 metre air rifle, men's small-bore rifle, three positions, 50 metres and men's small-bore rifle, prone, 50 metres, and at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the men's 10 metre air rifle, winning silver, and in the men's 50 metre rifle three positions, where he won gold with a total of 1278.5 points.
Serhiy Volodymyrovych Kulish is a Ukrainian sport shooter. He won Silver medal in 2024 Summer Olympics in the men's 50 metres rifle three positions.
Shooting competitions at the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo were originally scheduled from 25 July to 3 August 2020, due to the postponement of the Summer Olympics to 2021, the rescheduled dates were on 24 July to 2 August 2021 at the Asaka Shooting Range. Unlike in 2016, the number of shooters competing across fifteen events at these Games had been reduced from 390 to 360, with an equal distribution between men and women. Furthermore, several significant changes were instituted in the Olympic shooting program, including the substitution of three male-only events, with the mixed team competitions.
Oman competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, when the event was held from 5 to 21 August 2016. This was the nation's ninth consecutive appearance at the Summer Olympics. Four Omani athletes, two men and two women, were selected to compete in athletics and shooting at the Games. Among them were sprinter Barakat Al-Harthi, the lone returning Olympian from the previous Games.
Seonaid McIntosh is a British sports shooter who became the World Champion at the 2018 ISSF World Shooting Championships in the 50m Prone Rifle event. In 2019 she became Britain's most successful female rifle shooter of all time, winning five World Cup medals. She also became the first British Woman to rank World #1 for the 50m Rifle Three Position event and became European Champion in the 300m Rifle Prone event with an equal World Record score.
Chiara Leone is a Swiss sports shooter and Olympic champion. At the 2024 Paris Olympic Games, she won the Women's 50m Three Position Rifle event. She has won two team medals at ISSF World Championships, as well as three medals at ISSF World Cups. She became European Champion in the 50m Rifle Three-Position event at the 2024 European Championships in Osijek.
Swapnil Kusale is an Indian sport shooter who competes in 50 metre rifle three positions. He won the bronze medal at the 2024 Summer Olympics in the men's 50 metre rifle three positions event.
Aishwary Pratap Singh Tomar is an Indian sport shooter. He won the bronze medal in the 50 metre rifle three positions event at the 2019 Asian Shooting Championships and secured a quota place for India at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He will represent India in his second Olympics at the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris. He will take part in men's 50m rifle 3 positions event.
Jenny Stene is a Norwegian sport shooter. Her achievements include winning an individual silver medal and team gold medal in rifle shooting at the ISSF World Shooting Championships, as well as winning both individual gold medal and team gold medal at the 2023 European Games.
Jeanette Hegg Duestad is a Norwegian sport shooter. Her achievements include winning an individual gold medal in rifle shooting at the 2022 world championships, as well as team gold medals in 2022 and 2023.
Jon-Hermann Hegg is a Norwegian sport shooter. His achievements include winning individual gold medal at the European championships and individual bronze at the World championships., as well as team gold medals both in World and European championships. He holds a team world record in 50 metre rifle three positions since 2021.
Henrik Larsen is a Norwegian sport shooter. His achievements include individual gold and silver medals at the European championships, and team gold medals both in World and European championships. He holds a team world record in 50 metre rifle three positions since 2021.
Liu Yukun is a Chinese sport shooter and Olympic champion. At the 2024 Summer Olympics, Liu set the Olympic qualifying record and won gold in the men's 50 metres rifle three positions.
