Shraddha Pandit (born 4 July 1982) is an Indian playback singer. [1] [2] [3]
Shraddha grew up in Mumbai and belongs to a large family of successful musicians, singers, music producers and actors. She learnt Hindustani Classical Music from her Grandfather, Sangeet Acharya Late Shri. Pandit Pratap Narayan. Shradha has sung for many prolific music composers including A. R. Rahman, Amit Trivedi, Salim–Sulaiman, Badshah and many more. Her all-time hits are "Pehli Pehli Baar Baliye", "Ae Shivani", "Rang Deeni", "Sasural Genda Phool", "Jigar Da Tukda", "Manchandre Nu", "Khuda Ke Liye", "Bipasha", "Aiyoji", "Rab Rakha" and "Band Baaja Baaraat". Her latest chartbusters are "Pani Wala Dance" (2015) and "Aaj Raat Ka Scene" (2016). Shradha has also released an album, Teri Heer from Sony Music in 2008, where she wrote lyrics and composed all the songs by herself. [1] Her two siblings have successful careers in the Bollywood industry where her younger sister Shweta Pandit is also a well-known playback singer and her elder brother Yash Pandit is a film and television star. Shraddha's entry in the Bollywood music industry was with the song "Mausam Ke Sargam" from the film Khamoshi the musical as a child artist, which got her instant fame in the year 1998 and her successful journey continues till date.
Mahendra Kapoor was an Indian playback singer. In a long career spanning decades, his repertoire included popular songs such as Chalo ekbaar phir se Ajnabi ban jayen hum dono (Gumrah) and Neele Gagan ke tale (Hamraaz). His name however became most closely associated with patriotic songs including Mere Desh Ki Dharti in Manoj Kumar's film Upkaar. He considered Mohammad Rafi as his Guru. In 1972, he was awarded the Padma Shri by the Government of India. He lent his voice to actor Manoj Kumar in most of his films and had a lengthy association with director-producer Baldev Raj Chopra.
Ustad Ghulam Ali is a Pakistani ghazal singer of the Patiala Gharana. He has also been a prominent playback singer in Bollywood. Ghulam Ali was a disciple of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan. Ali was also trained by Bade Ghulam Ali's younger brothers – Barkat Ali Khan and Mubarak Ali Khan.
Mukesh Chand Mathur, better known mononymously as Mukesh, was an Indian playback singer. Mukesh is considered to be one of the most popular and acclaimed playback singers of the Hindi film industry. Amongst the numerous nominations and awards he won, his song "Kai Baar Yuhi Dekha Hai" from the film Rajnigandha (1973) won him the National Film Award for Best Male Playback Singer.
Kalyanji–Anandji were an Indian composer duo: Kalyanji Virji Shah and his brother Anandji Virji Shah. The duo are known for their work on Hindi film soundtracks, with many evergreen songs being composed by them.
Khamoshi is a 1969 black-and-white Hindi drama film directed by Asit Sen, starring Waheeda Rehman and Rajesh Khanna. It is especially remembered for its memorable music by Hemant Kumar and lyrics by Gulzar in songs such as "Tum Pukaar Lo... Tumhara Intezaar Hai" sung by Hemant Kumar, "Woh Shaam Kuch Ajeeb Thi" by Kishore Kumar and "Humne Dekhi Hai In Aankhon Ki Mehekti Khushboo" sung by Lata Mangeshkar. Though what really made this film stand out was the B&W cinematography by Kamal Bose, who won Best Cinematographer at the 18th Filmfare Awards for his work in the film and received high critical acclaim for Rehman and Khanna's performances. Rehman's performance earned her a Best Actress nomination at the same ceremony. The film was a moderate success at the box-office.

Harshdeep Kaur is an Indian playback singer known for her Bollywood Hindi, Punjabi,English and Sufi songs. She is popularly known as "Sufi Ki Sultana" because of her soulful Sufi renditions. After winning titles in two reality shows, Kaur established herself as a lead singer in Bollywood soundtracks. Band Baaja Baaraat is a 2010 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed by Maneesh Sharma in his directorial debut from a screenplay by Habib Faisal, and produced by Aditya Chopra for Yash Raj Films. Kali, is a form of Chhand (quatrain), a poetry bond under strict rules in Punjabi literature. Kali chhand is also used in singing as a type of Punjabi folk song where it is also known by its plural form, Kalian or Kaliyan. Although it is not so common in singing, it became a particular genre of Punjabi music.
