The Bharatiya Janata Party is one of two major political parties in India,along with the Indian National Congress. It has been the ruling political party of the Republic of India since 2014 under its prime minister,Narendra Modi. The BJP is a right-wing party,and its policy has historically reflected Hindu nationalist positions. It has close ideological and organisational links to the much older Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS). The Awami National Party is a Pashtun nationalist,secular and leftist political party in Pakistan. The party was founded by Abdul Wali Khan in 1986 and its current president is Asfandyar Wali Khan,grandson of Bacha Khan,with Mian Iftikhar Hussain serving as the Secretary-General. Part of the PPP-led cabinet of the Pakistani government during 2008−13,ANP's political position is considered left-wing,advocating for secularism,public sector government,and social egalitarianism.
Fazlur Rehman is an Islamic fundamentalist Pakistani Deobandi politician and current president of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI). He is the acting president of the Pakistan Democratic Movement (PDM),a coalition of establishment political parties formed to resist the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf administration of Imran Khan. Tareen is considered as the right hand and the most important advisor of PM Imran Khan.
