Shyam Lal Meena (born 4 March 1965) is an Indian archer. He went to SGTB Khalsa College, Delhi University. He represented India at 1988 Summer Olympics. [1] The Government of India honoured him with an Arjuna award in 1989. First international gold medal for Rajasthan.

He has served as a cabinet minister and held the portfolio of food and civil supplies. He was the only Independent Lok Sabha MP from Rajasthan in 15th Lok Sabha.

Mere Apne is a 1971 Indian Hindi-language film written and directed by Gulzar and produced by Romu, Raj and N. C. Sippy. It was Gulzar's first directorial venture and was almost a frame by frame remake of the National Award-winning Bengali film Apanjan, which was directed by Tapan Sinha. This was the first movie of Vinod Khanna as Hero. This was also debut movie of Danny. The film stars Meena Kumari, Vinod Khanna and Shatrughan Sinha in lead roles along with Deven Verma, Paintal, Asit Sen, Asrani, Danny Denzongpa, Keshto Mukherjee, A. K. Hangal, Dinesh Thakur, Mehmood and Yogeeta Bali. The music of the film is composed by Salil Choudhury.

Pyar Kiye Jaa is a 1966 Indian Hindi-language romantic comedy film directed and produced by C. V. Sridhar. It stars Kishore Kumar, Shashi Kapoor, Mehmood, Kalpana, Rajasree, Mumtaz and Om Prakash. It was a "semi-hit" at the box office. The film is a remake of the Tamil comedy Kadhalikka Neramillai (1964), which was remade into Telugu as Preminchi Choodu in 1965. Actress Rajasree starred in all three versions of the film. Kadhalikka Neramillai was also later remade in Kannada as Preethi Madu Thamashe Nodu and in Marathi as Dhoom Dhadaka. The role played by Nagesh in the Tamil version was reprised by Mehmood in the Hindi version and by Dwarakish in the Kannada version.

Chhuttan Lal Meena was a member of the Indian parliament. He represented the Sawai Madhopur, India constituency from 1971 to 1977. Prior to his election to the Indian parliament, Meena was a member of the Rajasthan Legislative Assembly from the Mahua and Nadoti assembly constituencies. Meena served in the Indian Army from 1938 to 1951. He was an ally of Farmer leader Kumbaram arya. Meena was born on 3 September 1920 in Alwar district.
