Siddharth Kharat is an Indian politician from the state of Maharashtra. Kharat became first time member of Maharashtra Legislative Assembly by winning the Mehkar constituency from Buldhana district in the 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly elections. He represented Shiv Sena (Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray) and defeated the sitting MLA Sanjay Raimulkar of Shiv Sena. Shiv Sena (1966–2022) was a right-wing Marathi regionalist Hindutva-based political party in India founded in 1966 by Bal Thackeray,who was later succeeded by Uddhav Thackeray. The party is split into two parties:the Uddhav Thackeray-led Shiv Sena which has a new symbol of Mashaal (Torch) and Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena (2022–present) which has gotten hold of the original party name and the "bow and arrow" symbol.
Prataprao Ganpatrao Jadhav is an Indian politician serving as the minister of AYUSH since 2024. He is a member of the Shinde's Shiv Sena and has been elected to the Lok Sabha for four consecutive terms since 2009,representing the Buldhana constituency in Maharashtra . The 2024 Maharashtra Legislative Assembly election was held on 20 November 2024 to elect all 288 members of the state's Legislative Assembly to elect 288 members of the 15th Maharashtra Legislative Assembly. The turnout for the election was 66.05%,the highest since 1995. The ruling Maha Yuti won a landslide victory winning 235 seats and none of the parties in the Maha Vikas Aghadi had sufficient seats to get the position of leader of opposition,the first time in six decades.
