Sihi Kahi Geetha is an Indian actress and voice-over artist known for her work in Kannada cinema and television. [1] [ citation needed ] She is noted for performances in Nishyabda (1998), Surya Vamsha (1999), Maleyali Jotheyali (2009) and Actor .

Biography

Geetha has appeared in more than 50 films in Kannada.[ citation needed ] She met actor Sihi Kahi Chandru in the sets of the Doordarshan television series Sihi Kahi in 1986 that they appeared together in. In the widely popular series among the Kannada audience, they played the lead protagonists. [2] They married in 1990. [3] Their daughter Hitha Chandrashekar is an actress and dancer. [4]

Sampath Kumar, known by his stage name Vishnuvardhan, was an Indian actor who worked predominantly in Kannada cinema besides also having sporadically appeared in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu and Malayalam language films. Vishnuvardhan has a prolific career spanning over four decades, during which he has acted in more than 220 films. A popular cultural icon of Karnataka, and holds the status of a matinée idol amongst the Kannada diaspora. He is popularly called as Sahasa Simha, Dada and The Angry Young Man of Kannada Cinema. Vishnuvardhan's contributions to Kannada cinema have been praised by his contemporaries in the Indian film industry. The Government of Karnataka honoured him with the Rajyothsava Prashasthi in 1990 and the Dr. Rajkumar Lifetime Achievement Award in 2007 for his contributions to Kannada cinema. He was called The Phoenix of Indian Cinema. In 2008, a poll conducted by CNN-IBN listed Vishnuvardhan as the most popular star in the Kannada film industry.

Masanada Hoovu is a 1985 Indian Kannada language film directed by Puttanna Kanagal, based on T. R. Subba Rao's novel of the same name. It stars Jayanthi, Ambareesh, Hema Choudhary and Aparna. It was Puttanna Kanagal's last as a director. His friend and long time associate, director K. S. L. Swamy, completed the film. Masanada Hoovu won multiple awards at the 1985-86 Karnataka State Film Awards including Best Actress (Jayanthi) and Best Supporting Actor.

V. Harikrishna is an Indian film score and soundtrack composer, playback singer and film producer. He has mainly scored music for Kannada films. After his stint as a programmer and assistant musician, Harikrishna made his debut as an independent composer in actor Darshan's first production venture Jothe Jotheyali in 2006. Since then, he has been scoring for majority of Darshan's films besides working for many other leading production houses.
