Atatürk Airport is an airport currently in use for private jets. It used to be the primary international airport of Istanbul and the hub of Turkish Airlines until it was closed to commercial passenger flights on 6 April 2019. From that point, all passenger flights were transferred to the new Istanbul Airport.

Kozyrevsk Airport was an airport in Russia located 3 km northeast of Kozyrevsk. It is a minor paved airfield with a spartan, neglected appearance. The airport was closed in 1995 by the Russian Ministry of Transport for reasons of lower flight volumes and growing maintenance costs. Overhead imagery from Google Earth show vegetation intrusion in the former runway area beginning 2005, and far progressed by 2016.

Located in Buraidah and named after the former Crown Prince Nayef bin Abdulaziz, it primarily serves the northern provinces of the kingdom. International routes are limited to 9 countries: the United Arab Emirates, Egypt, Bahrain, Azerbaijan (seasonal), Bosnia and Herzegovina (seasonal), Qatar, Kuwait, Pakistan, and Turkey. Established in 1964, the airport is owned and operated by the Matarat Holding Company. It was renamed Prince Naif bin Abdulaziz International Airport by royal decree by King Abdullah on 5 July 2012 in memory of former Crown Prince Naif who died in June 2012.
Borajet was a privately owned Turkish airline based in Yeşilköy, Bakırköy, Istanbul operating domestic and international services. It suspended operations on 24 April 2017.
The Kirazlık Dam is a gravity dam on the Botan River, 9 km (6 mi) east of Siirt in Siirt Province of southeastern Turkey. The purpose of the dam is to regulate the outflow of the Alkumru Dam upstream and to produce hydroelectric power with a run-of-the-river design. The dam was completed in late 2011 and the power station become operational in 2013. The power plant houses three 15 MW Kaplan turbine-generators.

The Siirt raid was an armed raid of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) on a Turkish military base in Eruh, Siirt province, Turkey, on 29 March 2018. The raid killed six village guard militia that was supporting the Turkish army in the area. Seven soldiers were injured, one of whom, Sergeant Emre Dut, later died of his wounds. The PKK had no casualties. After the attack, Turkish forces launched an operation, killing three PKK militants they claimed were responsible for the raid.
2015 Siirt bombing was a bombing targeting an armoured vehicle with personnels of Turkish Gendarmerie in it in Şirvan - Pervari road of Siirt Province on 19 August 2015, around 14:10 with a bomb that was placed on the road several hours before the detonation. 8 people died and 1 was injured as a result of the attack. No one has claimed responsibility, but Turkish government has blamed Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK) for the attack.
