Sikkim Rajya Manch Party (SRMP) (English Translation: Sikkim State Forum Party) is a regional political party in the Indian state of Sikkim. Founder and Incumbent President is Rup Narayan Chamling (R. N. Chamling) who is a little brother of former Chief Minister of Sikkim and the president of Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF), Pawan Kumar Chamling.
In spite of the objection of Pawan Kumar Chamling, R.N. Chamling stood as an independent candidate in the bye-election of Sikkim Legislative Assembly on 16 September 2014. R. N. Chamling won and beat the candidate of SDF, Kumari Manger in Yangang. [2] Pawan Kumar Chamling didn't forgive R. N. Chamling's behavior, and didn't accept him as a Member of SDF. As the result, R. N. Chamling kept his position as an independent Member of Legislative Assembly.
On 7 December 2017, R. N. Chamling established the new party, Sikkim Rajya Manch Party (SRMP) in Sribadam in West Sikkim. He was elected to the President of SRMP, and declared to fight with SDF. [3]
In March 2019, SRMP participated in the electoral alliance, Sikkim Progressive Alliance (SPA) which was formed by Sikkim Sangram Parishad (SSP), Sikkim National People’s Party (SNPP) and Sikkim United Front Party (SUFP). [4] SPA sent 8 candidates for 2019 Sikkim Legislative Assembly election, 1 candidate for 2019 Sikkim Lok Sabah election, and 3 of 9 are SRMP candidates. [5] But in this election, all SRMP candidates lost and secured only 3.85% (R. N. Chamling from Rangang-Yangang) or less votes in each constituency.
SRMP didn't participate in the Bye-Election of Sikkim Legislative Assembly on 21 October 2019.

Pawan Kumar Chamling is an Indian politician and writer who served as the 5th Chief Minister of Sikkim from 1994 to 2019. He is the longest serving Chief Minister of Sikkim and India, surpassing Jyoti Basu. Chamling is the Founding President of the Sikkim Democratic Front. He also served as the Leader of the opposition, Sikkim Legislative Assembly in the year of 2019. He represents the Namchi-Singhithang constituency in the Sikkim Legislative Assembly since 2019 till 2024 and the Damthang constituency from 1985 to 1994. Prior to establishing the Sikkim Democratic Front, Chamling served as Minister for Industries, Information and Public Relations from 1989 to 1992 in Nar Bahadur Bhandari's cabinet.
Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) is a regional political party in the Indian state of Sikkim. It was the ruling party in Sikkim from 12 December 1994 to 23 May 2019.
Nar Bahadur Bhandari was an Indian politician who served as the chief minister of the state of Sikkim from 1979 to 1994. He briefly served as Member of Parliament representing Sikkim Lok Sabha constituency from 1984 to 1985. He was the founding leader of the Sikkim Sangram Parishad. He was popularly remembered for his efforts to include the Nepali language in 8th Schedule of the Constitution of India. He was awarded with prestigious Jagadamba Shree Purasakar for his contribution for Nepali language. He was the first Indian chief minister of Gorkha origin. He also served as the president of Bharatiya Nepali Bhasha Parisangh until his death. He is popularly known as the architect of modern Sikkim.
Yangang is a small town in Namchi district of the Indian state of Sikkim. Yangang is the projected site for the construction of a Sikkim University campus. Yangang is also the birthplace of the former Chief Minister of Sikkim, Shri Pawan Kumar Chamling. The state's largest police training center is in Yangang. Yangang has a number of natural tourism resources including Mainam Hill, Tig-Day Cho lake, Neya Khola Falls, Mahadev Than, Yangang Monastery, Gurung Monastery, Lepcha Monastery, Ramitay Bhir. Yangang will soon have projects carried out in it, such as the Ropeway to Bhalay Dhunga, Sky Walk at Bhalay Dhunga, Lepcha Heritage Center, and the Cultural Park.
The Sikkim Legislative Assembly election of 2009 took place in April 2009, concurrently with the 2009 Indian general election. The elections were held in the state for all 32 legislative assembly seats along with the third phase of 2009 Indian general elections on 30 April 2009. The results were declared on 5 May 2009. The Sikkim Democratic Front (SDF) further strengthened their majority in the Sikkim Assembly by winning all the seats. Incumbent Chief Minister Pawan Kumar Chamling's Government returned for an unprecedented fourth consecutive term having won previous elections in 1994, 1999, and 2004.

Biraj Adhikari was an Indian politician. Born in Sikkim, Adhikari first became the general secretary of the Sikkim Pradesh Congress Committee, a branch of the Indian National Congress. Adhikari then joined the Sikkim Himali Rajya Parishad, followed by forming and becoming president of the Sikkim National People's Party. He also took part in several elections in the state of Sikkim as part of these parties and the Hamro Sikkim Party, before retiring from active politics a few months prior to his death in March 2024.
