The Telugu Desam Party is an Indian regional political party with great influence in the states of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana. It was founded by the former chief minister of Andhra Pradesh N. T. Rama Rao (N.T.R.) on 29 March 1982 and has focused on supporting Telugu speakers. The party has won a five-time majority in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly and has emerged as the most successful political outfit in the state's history. It is currently the main opposition party in the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly.

Sri Latha Reddy known by her stage name Roja,is an Indian politician and former film actress. She is currently serving as Minister for Tourism,Culture and Youth Advancement of Andhra Pradesh. She was a leading actress in Tamil and Telugu films from 1991 to 2002. She has also acted in a few Kannada and Malayalam-language films. She won three Nandi Awards and one Tamil Nadu State Film Award. In 2022,Roja announced she would be leaving the film industry to focus more on her political career as a politician. She also announced that she will no longer be acting in any films.
S. Pedda Yerikal Reddy was a three-time Lok Sabha MP and Industrialist who headed the Nandi Group of Industries. He was born on 4 June 1950 in the Ankalammagudur village from Kadapa district of Andhra Pradesh. He graduated with a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering from NIT Warangal and joined the Mumbai-based Bhabha Atomic Research Centre,India's premium nuclear facility. He quit the position of a Scientific Officer in 1977 and set up a plastic containers manufacturing plant in 1979. Thereafter,he diversified his company's operations into PVC pipes manufacturing in 1984 under the name of Nandi Pipes.
Bhuma Nagi Reddy was an Indian politician. He was elected in a by-election to the Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1992 after the sudden death of his brother,Bhuma Sekhar Reddy,an MLA from Allagadda constituency in Kurnool district. In 1996,Reddy was the Telugu Desam Party candidate against Prime Minister P. V. Narasimha Rao in the Nandyal Lok Sabha constituency election. He served in the 11th,12th and 13th Lok Sabhas. Reddy died in office on 12 March 2017 after a massive heart attack at his home in Allagadda.
Yeduguri Sandinti Jagan Mohan Reddy,also known as Y. S. Jagan or mononymously as Jagan,is an Indian politician currently serving as the 17th Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. He is the founder and president of the Indian political party,YSR Congress Party (YSRCP). He is also the son of Y. S. Rajasekhara Reddy,former Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh. His Mother Y. S. Vijayamma,is the chairperson of YSR Congress Party.

He also served as Panchayat Raj,Rural development and IT and Communication minister through an MLC post. He was severely criticized for not contesting the elections and becoming a minister in his father Chandrababu Naidu's cabinet. However,after great criticism for not contesting any election,he finally chose to contest as an MLA for Mangalagiri Assembly Constituency and lost to YSR Congress Party candidate Alla Ramakrishna Reddy in 2019 Andhra Pradesh Legislative Assembly elections.
