Sinai Vessel is the stage name of American indie rock musician Caleb Cordes from North Carolina. [1] The project was originally a trio, but now consists just of Cordes.

History

Sinai Vessel began as the solo project of musician Caleb Cordes. Since then, it had expanded into a three-piece band, but is now back to a solo project. [1] In 2011, Sinai Vessel released their first album titled Labor Pains. They followed that release in 2013 with an EP titled Profanity. [2] In 2015, Count Your Lucky Stars Records released a split with the bands Dowsing, Sinai Vessel, Long Knives, and The Cardboard Swords. [3] On January 27, 2017, Sinai Vessel released their second full-length album after signing to Tiny Engines titled Brokenlegged. [4] [5] [6] [7] [8] [9] [10] In 2020, Cordes released his third album as Sinai Vessel titled Ground Aswim. [11]

Empire! Empire! was an American emo band from Michigan. It was formed in 2006 originally as a solo project of band member Keith Latinen. The band's music is most often described as emotional indie rock reminiscent of '90s emo bands such as Mineral and American Football. The band's first release was in 2007 with an EP titled When The Sea Became A Giant. The band released a full-length album, What It Takes To Move Forward, in 2009. The band is signed to Count Your Lucky Stars Records and has released albums on a number of other labels, such as strictly no capital letters (UK), Topshelf Records, Stiff Slack (Japan), and Hobbledehoy Record Co (Australia). The band released their second album You Will Eventually Be Forgotten on August 19, 2014. On February 16, 2016, the band announced their final tour before their breakup on their official Facebook page.

Mood Rings are an alternative rock band based in Atlanta. Debuting in 2011 with the EP Sweater Weather Forever, they have since been recognised nationally for their sound, which has been called "engaging" by The Guardian, "lush and ethereal" by BrooklynVegan, "dreamy post-punk" by Stereogum, and "lush, neon hued" by Spin Magazine. Their second single, "Pathos y Lagrimas" was featured in Converse's "Ready, Set: Get Lost" music series. Converse recorded and released a music video for the song on YouTube in October 2012. They released a limited edition silk-screened 7" of "Pathos y Lagrimas" and "333" for Record Store Day 2013, and performed an instore at Atlanta's Criminal Records. Their first album, VPI Harmony, was released on Mexican Summer on 25 June 2013. Heather Phares of Allmusic praised the album, saying "Held together by its oddly luxurious feel, VPI Harmony blends its many sounds and moods into a remarkable debut." When playing in Loring Park in Minneapolis, MN the band was rumored to play naked, when in fact they wore socks.
