Southeast Asian Games appearances (overview)

Singapore participated in the 2011 Southeast Asian Games which was held in the cities of Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 11 November 2011 to 22 November 2011, but with some events commencing from 3 November 2011.

The 1999 SEA Games, officially known as the 20th SEA Games and commonly known as Brunei Darusssalam 1999, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held in Bandar Seri Begawan, Brunei. The 2011 Southeast Asian Games, officially known as the 26th Southeast Asian Games, or the 26th SEA Games, and commonly known as Jakarta-Palembang 2011, was a Southeast Asian multi-sport event held from 11 to 22 November 2011 in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia. It was Indonesia's fourth time to host the Southeast Asian Games, and its first since 1997. Previously, Indonesia also hosted in 1979 and 1987. The capital city of Jakarta hosted all three of the previous Games prior to this. Palembang became the third SEA Games non-capital host city, after Chiang Mai (1995) and Nakhon Ratchasima (2007), both in Thailand. Around 5,965 athletes from 11 participating nations participated at the games which featured 545 events in 44 sports. The biggest competitor, sports, and events in Southeast Asian Games history.

Kartika Airlines was an airline based in Jakarta, Indonesia. It operated domestic services from Jakarta. Its main base was Soekarno-Hatta International Airport, Jakarta. Kartika Airlines is listed in category 2 by Indonesian Civil Aviation Authority for airline safety quality.

The athletics competition at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games was held from 12 to 16 November at the Jakabaring Stadium in Palembang, Indonesia. Over the five-day competition a total of 46 events were contested with 23 contests for each gender, matching the Olympic athletics program minus the men's 50 km race walk. Six SEA Games records were broken and twenty national records were surpassed.

The Southeast Asian Swimming Championships are a biennial aquatics championships for countries from Southeast Asia organised by South East Asian Swimming Federation (SEASF). These championships include competition in Swimming, Diving, Synchronized Swimming (synchro), and Water Polo. The first edition of these championships were the aquatics competitions at the 2012 Southeast Asian Swimming Championships held in June 2012 in Singapore. Championships among masters began 2019.

Lance Tan Wei Sheng is a former Singaporean track and field athlete and track cyclist who competes internationally for Singapore. Tan is a multiple National Champion and record holder in various disciplines. Tan won the bronze medal at the 2011 Southeast Asian Games and competed in the decathlon at the 2015 South East Asian Games, before successfully switching sport to track cycling, representing Singapore at the 2017 South East Asian Games in 3 events.

Cerebral palsy football, also called 7-a-side football or formerly Paralympic football, is an adaptation of association football for athletes with cerebral palsy and other neurological disorders, including stroke and traumatic brain injury. From 1978 to 2014, cerebral palsy football was governed by the Cerebral Palsy International Sports and Recreation Association (CPISRA). In January 2015, governance of the sport was taken over by the International Federation of Cerebral Palsy Football, under the umbrella of Para Football.

Three cities submitted bids to host the 2018 Asian Games that were recognized by the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA). The games were awarded to Hanoi, Vietnam. The other shortlisted city was Surabaya, Indonesia. This came after Dubai and the United Arab Emirates pulled out of the running at the last minute during the Olympic Council of Asia (OCA) General Assembly meeting on November 8, 2012.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Iran at the 2018 Asian Games</span> Sporting event delegation

Iran competed in the 2018 Asian Games in Jakarta and Palembang, Indonesia from 18 August to 2 September 2018. Iran has competed at the Asian Games since the first event in 1951 Delhi, and the best achievement was in 1974, when the country hosted the event in Tehran, by ranked second with the acquisition of 36 gold, 28 silver and 17 bronze medals. At the latest edition in Incheon, the country wrapped up its campaign with 57 medals in all - 21 gold, 18 silver and 18 bronze.

Huang Junhua is a professional wushu taolu athlete from Macau. He is a two-time world champion and the second ever gold medallist for Macau at the Asian Games.

Phạm Quốc Khánh is a wushu athlete from Vietnam.
