Mister Sinister Marvel Comics fictional character

Mister Sinister is a supervillain appearing in American comic books published by Marvel Comics. Created by writer Chris Claremont, the character was first mentioned as the employer behind the team of assassins known as the Marauders in The Uncanny X-Men #212, later seen in silhouette in The Uncanny X-Men #213, with both issues serving as chapters of the 1986 "Mutant Massacre" crossover. Mr. Sinister then made his first full appearance in The Uncanny X-Men #221. His appearance was designed by artist Marc Silvestri.

The unidentified body on Christmas Island was a sailor in the Royal Australian Navy (RAN) found on a life raft in the Indian Ocean, off Christmas Island, in 1942. He was widely believed to originate from the RAN cruiser HMAS Sydney, which sank off Western Australia in November 1941 after a battle with the German auxiliary cruiser Kormoran. While 318 of 399 Kormoran personnel survived, the crew of Sydney was lost with all 645 hands. On 19 November 2021, the body was identified as that of Able Seaman Thomas Welsby Clark.

Hansel was an American Thoroughbred racehorse who won the final two legs of the U.S. Triple Crown races in 1991 and was voted the Eclipse Award for Outstanding 3-Year-Old Male Horse. Out of the mare Count on Bonnie, his sire was Woodman, a Champion 2-year-old colt in Ireland who was a son of the influential Champion sire Mr. Prospector. Hansel's owner was banker Joe Allbritton, who raced him under his Lazy Lane Farm banner.

Dehere was an American Champion Thoroughbred racehorse. He was bred and raced by Robert E. Brennan's Due Process Stable. Sired by Canadian Hall of Fame inductee and two-time North American Champion sire, Deputy Minister, he was out of the mare Sister Dot, a daughter of the U.S. Triple Crown champion Secretariat.

Old Trieste (1995–2003) was an American Thoroughbred racehorse. He was a chestnut by A.P. Indy and out of the mare Lovelier Linda. He contended for the 1998 Triple Crown but finished unplaced behind Real Quiet in the Kentucky Derby. In the following year he recorded his most significant win when taking the Grade II Californian Stakes at Hollywood Park Racetrack. In a brief stud career he sired the Grade I winners Silver Train and Sinister Minister. He was euthanized in 2003 due to complications from laminitis. The horse was named after the Old Trieste Restaurant in San Diego, California.

Li Tieying is a retired politician of the People's Republic of China. He held many positions since 1955, including Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress and President of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is an author of several books. For more than 20 years he served as Minister in charge of the State Commission for Economic Restructuring, and participated in major decision making and the implementation of China’s economic reforms during that time.
