The Siri oil field and its satellites, Nini and Cecille, are oil producing fields in the Danish sector of the southern North Sea. Operating since 1999 and 2003 they are the most northerly of Denmark's offshore oil assets located close to the Denmark-Norway median line.
The Siri field comprises a sandstone reservoir of oil with a low gas content. [1] It is in Block 5604/20 in the far north of the Danish sector near the Denmark-Norway median line. [2] The Siri reservoir comprises four areas: Siri Central; Siri North; to the north east Stine segment 2; and Stine segment 1. The field is developed through a single installation (designated SCA) located over the Siri Central formation with subsea wells exploiting Stine1 & 2. [1] [3]
The Nini field is to the north east of the Siri field and is a sandstone oil reservoir. It has been developed through two platforms (Nini A and Nini B also known as Nini East and Nini West) with well fluids piped to Siri SCA installation for processing. [1]
The Cecilie field is located south west of the Siri field, it too is a sandstone oil reservoir. It has been developed by a wellhead platform with well fluids routed to Siri SCA for processing. [1]

The licence for the Siri field was originally owned by Dong Energy (50%), Altinex (20%) and Talisman (30%). The operator licence was taken over by Dong Energy from Statoil in 2002. The Siri, Nini and Cecilie fields are currently owned and operated by DONG E & P A/S. [3]
The fields have been exploited by several subsea and topside installations, as shown in the table.

The Siri, Nini and Cecilie fields are stranded assets remote from export infrastructure such as pipelines. Oil from SCA is routed to a 50,000 m3 storage tank on the seabed. The tank is 50 m x 66 m and 17.5 m high. It is emptied periodically by tanker via a Single Anchor Loading (SAL) buoy mooring system. [1] [5]
In addition to the offshore installations there are a number of pipelines connecting and transferring fluids within the fields

Water and recovered gas are co-injected into the Siri and Nini reservoirs to increase oil recovery. [3] An average of 2.98 million m3 of water per year is injected. [6]
The Project Greensand [7] consortium has identified the Nini West subsea reservoir as a feasible carbon dioxide (CO2) storage facility. [8] The reservoir is suitable for injecting 0.45 million tonnes CO2 per year per well for a 10-year period and that it can safely contain the CO2 in compressed form. If successful the project could be extended to the whole Siri field. Work on the project is ongoing. [8]

Snøhvit(English: Snow White) is the name of a natural gas field in the Norwegian Sea, situated 140 kilometres (87 mi) northwest of Hammerfest, Norway. The northern part of the Norwegian Sea is often described as the Barents Sea by offshore petroleum companies. Snøhvit is also the name of a development of Snøhvit and the two neighbouring natural gas fields Albatross and Askeladden. Estimated recoverable reserves are 193 billion cubic metres of natural gas, 113 million barrels of condensate, and 5.1 million tonnes of natural gas liquids (NGL). The development comprises 21 wells. The Snøhvit development is operated by Equinor on behalf of six gas companies owning licenses:
Oseberg is an offshore oil field with a gas cap in the North Sea located 140 km (87 mi) northwest of the city of Bergen on the southwestern coast of Norway. The field, which is 25 km long by 7 km wide, was discovered in 1979 and its development is known to be one of the significant milestones in emergence of Norway's independent oil and gas industry. The Oseberg field was named after Oseberg ship, one of Norway's most significant archeological discoveries. The ancient Viking ship from the early 9th century was discovered in a 1904 historical excavation of a burial mound at the Oseberg Farm, south of Oslo.
"Offshore", when used in relation to hydrocarbons, refers to operations undertaken at, or under the, sea in association with an oil, natural gas or condensate field that is under the seabed, or to activities carried out in relation to such a field. Offshore is part of the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.
The Sleipner gas field is a natural gas field in the block 15/9 of the North Sea, about 250 kilometres (160 mi) west of Stavanger, Norway. Two parts of the field are in production, Sleipner West, and Sleipner East (1981). The field produces natural gas and light oil condensates from sandstone structures about 2,500 metres (8,200 ft) below sea level. It is operated by Equinor. The field is named after the steed Sleipnir in Norse mythology.
Yme is an oil field in the Egersund basin area in the central part of the North Sea. It is located 160 kilometres (99 mi) northeast of the Ekofisk oil field. The water depth is 93 metres (305 ft). The field was discovered in 1987 and was developed by Statoil with production from 1996 to 2001. In 2001 low oil prices led to the abandonment of the field. After the production license was relinquished by Statoil, a new license group led by Talisman Energy was formed to redevelop the field. In 2007 Talisman was granted permission to redevelop the field. The redevelopment was unsuccessful and the newly installed Yme MOPU STOR was abandoned and decommissioned without having entered production. A new attempt called the Yme New Development was launched by the new operator Repsol, which involved reusing the subsea installations already in place. The Yme field began producing again in 2021, marking the first time that a previously abandoned Norwegian oil field has been restarted.
Grane is an offshore oil field in the North Sea located 185 km (115 mi) west of the city of Haugesund on the western coast of Norway. It is Norway's first heavy crude oil production field and Statoil's largest heavy oil field in the Norwegian continental shelf. The oil from the field, located in Block 25/11 is transported to Sture terminal via Grane oil pipeline. The injection gas is imported to Grane oil field from the Heimdal, located just north the field.
Tyra Field is the largest gas condensate field in the Danish Sector of the North Sea. It was discovered in 1968 and production started in 1984. The field is owned by Dansk Undergrunds Consortium, a partnership between Total, Noreco and Nordsofonden, and operated by Total. The reservoir depth is about 2,000 metres (6,600 ft) and it covers area of 90 kilometres (56 mi) in the water depth of 37–40 metres (121–131 ft). The Tyra field has a number of satellite fields, including Roar, Svend and Tyra Southeast fields.
Gorm is a natural gas and oilfield in the Danish Sector of North Sea. It was discovered in 1971 and is the largest oilfield exploited by Denmark. The production infrastructure consists of five bridge-linked platforms and is operated by BlueNord. The facilities include two wellhead platforms and several processing platforms. The Rolf and Dagmar fields are satellites to Gorm.
GE Oil & Gas was the division of General Electric that owned its investments in the petroleum industry. In July 2017, this division was merged with Baker Hughes.
The Dan oil field is a large oil and associated gas field in the Danish sector of the North Sea, about 200 kilometres (120 mi) west of Esbjerg. Oil and gas are produced through a complex of offshore installations. The Kraka and Regnar fields are satellites to the Dan installations.
Alwyn North is a major oil and gas field in the United Kingdom sector of the northern North Sea, 160 km east of the Shetland Islands. The field was developed through two bridge-linked offshore platforms and a number of subsea satellite wellheads. Alwyn North has been producing oil and gas since 1987 and is still (2023) in operation.
The Beryl oil field is a major crude oil production field in the UK sector of the northern North Sea, 335 km north east of Aberdeen. Production of oil started in 1976 and the field is still producing oil and gas (2021).
The Pickerill and Juliet gas fields are decommissioned natural gas producing facilities in the UK sector of the southern North Sea. The fields are located about 66 km (41 mi) east of Spurn Head, Lincolnshire. Pickerill was in operation from 1992 until 2018 and Juliet from 2014 to 2018.
The A-Fields are natural gas reservoirs and gas production facilities in the southern North Sea; about 123 km east of Spurn Head, Yorkshire. The fields produced natural gas from 1988 to 2016.
The Skjold oil field is a crude oil and associated gas production field in the Danish sector of the central North Sea, close to the Danish-German median line. Production of oil started in 1982, peak oil was achieved in 1991 and production is expected to continue until 2038.
Halfdan is a significant oil and gas field in the south-western part of the Danish sector of the southern North Sea. The field has been in production since 1999. The Sif and Igor fields are satellites to Hallfdan.
The Valdemar oil and gas field is a crude oil and gas production field in the Danish sector of the central North Sea. Production of oil and gas started in 1993, peak oil was achieved in 2009 and peak gas in 2010. Production was suspended in 2019.
The South Arne field is a major crude oil and associated gas production field in the Danish sector of the central North Sea. Production of oil and gas started in 1999, and peak oil and gas was in 2000.
