Sjoerd Wartena (born 1 May 1939) is a retired Dutch rower. He competed at the 1964 Summer Olympics in the coxless fours, together with Jim Enters, Herman Boelen and Sipke Castelein, and finished in fourth place. [1] [2] He won a silver medal in the coxed pairs at the 1963 European Championships. [3]

Son of a doctor, Wartena studied literature and worked at a university library in Amsterdam. In the 1970s he moved to a village in southern France, where he learned farming and in 2003 founded the movement Terre de Liens devoted to ecologically friendly agriculture. [4] [5]

Sjoerd Steven Vollebregt is a sailor from the Netherlands who represented his native country at the 1976 Summer Olympics in Kingston, Ontario. With twin brother Erik Vollebregt as helmsman, Vollebregt finished 14th in the Sailing at the 1976 Summer Olympics – Flying Dutchman. Since in 1980 the Netherlands boycotted the Moscow Olympics, Vollebregt represented his National Olympic Committee under the Dutch NOC flag in the Flying Dutchman. Again with his brother as helmsman, he took 7th place.

Sjoerd Lambertus "Bertus" Mooi Wilten was a Dutch swimmer. He joined the swimming club HPC in Heemstede. In 1934–35 he broke the Dutch national record on the 100 m freestyle twice for the long course and four times for the short course, reaching 1:00.6 in February 1935. He competed in the men's 100 metre freestyle at the 1936 Summer Olympics, but was eliminated in the second heat.
