Skakavci (Serbian : Скакавци) is a village in the municipality of Kosjerić, western Serbia. According to the 2002 census, the village has a population of 274 people. [1]
Serbian is the standardized variety of the Serbo-Croatian language mainly used by Serbs. It is the official language of Serbia, the territory of Kosovo, and one of the three official languages of Bosnia and Herzegovina. In addition, it is a recognized minority language in Montenegro where it is spoken by the relative majority of the population, as well as in Croatia, North Macedonia, Romania, Hungary, Slovakia, and the Czech Republic.
A village is a clustered human settlement or community, larger than a hamlet but smaller than a town, with a population ranging from a few hundred to a few thousand. Kosjeríć is a town and municipality located in the Zlatibor District of western Serbia. The municipality has a population of 12,090 inhabitants, but the town itself has 3,992. The municipality's area is 359 square kilometres (139 sq mi), with 26 villages mostly placed in the river valleys, though there are also some settlements in the mountains at altitudes of more than 1,000 metres.
