The Skate Canada Challenge is an annual domestic figure skating competition hosted by Skate Canada. It is typically held in November or December with the location differing by year. Medals may be awarded in men's singles, women's singles, ice dance, and pair skating at the senior, junior, and novice. The U.S. Figure Skating Championships is a figure skating competition held annually to crown the national champions of the United States. The competition is sanctioned by U.S. Figure Skating. In the U.S. skating community, the event is often referred to informally as "Nationals". Medals are currently awarded in four disciplines: men's (boys') singles, ladies' (girls') singles, pair skating, and ice dancing in four colors: gold (first), silver (second), bronze (third), and pewter (fourth) on two levels, senior and junior. Medals were previously given at the novice, intermediate, and juvenile levels. The event is also used to determine the U.S. teams for the World Championships, World Junior Championships, Four Continents Championships, and Winter Olympics, however, U.S. Figure Skating reserves the right to consider other results.

The Hungarian Figure Skating Championships are a national figure skating competition held annually to determine the national champions of Hungary. Medals may be awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pair skating, and ice dancing. Since the 2013–14 figure skating season, the Hungarian Figure Skating Championships have been held alongside the Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia in the Four Nationals Championships.
The International Challenge Cup is an annual figure skating competition generally held in the Netherlands during the last week in February. Although the competition had been held for years in The Hague, a three-year contract was signed in 2022 with the city of Tilburg to host the competition at the IJssportcentrum Tilburg.
Evgenia Armanovna Medvedeva, is a retired competitive Russian figure skater. She is the 2018 PyeongChang Olympic silver medalist, a two-time world champion, a two-time European champion, a two-time Grand Prix Final champion, a two-time Russian national champion, silver medalist at the 2018 European Figure Skating Championships and bronze medalist at the 2019 World Championships. Earlier in her career, she won the 2015 World Junior Championships, the 2014 Junior Grand Prix Final, and the 2015 Russian Junior Championships.
The 2016–17 figure skating season began on July 1, 2016, and ended on June 30, 2017. During this season, elite skaters competed at the 2017 European Championships, Four Continents Championships, World Junior Championships, and World Championships. They also competed at elite events such as the Grand Prix series and Junior Grand Prix series, culminating at the Grand Prix Final, and the Challenger Series.
Sōta Yamamoto is a Japanese figure skater. He is the 2022–23 Grand Prix Final silver medalist, a three-time ISU Grand Prix medalist, a four-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, the 2023 World University Games champion, and the 2023–24 Japanese national bronze medalist.
Nicolas Nadeau is a retired Canadian competitive figure skater, Competing in pair skating with girlfriend Emmanuelle Proft, they are the 2023 CS Autumn Classic International bronze medallists.
Conrad Orzel is a retired Canadian figure skater and model. He is the 2019 Bavarian Open silver medalist and 2023 Canadian national silver medalist. Earlier in his career, he won two medals on the ISU Junior Grand Prix series and placed 13th at the 2017 and 2018 World Junior Championships.
Marjorie Lajoie is a Canadian ice dancer. With her partner Zachary Lagha, she is the 2023 Four Continents bronze medalist, a six-time Grand Prix medalist, 2022 CS Nepela Memorial champion, 2022 CS Budapest Trophy champion, and a three-time Canadian national medalist. Lajoie and Lagha represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Zachary Lagha is a Canadian ice dancer. With his skating partner Marjorie Lajoie, he is the 2023 Four Continents bronze medalist, a six-time Grand Prix medalist, 2022 CS Nepela Memorial champion, 2022 CS Budapest Trophy champion, and a three-time Canadian national medalist. Lajoie and Lagha represented Canada at the 2022 Winter Olympics.
Camden Pulkinen is an American figure skater and he is the 2024 U.S. bronze medalist. He competed at the 2016 Winter Youth Olympics and is the first male figure skater to compete on behalf of Team USA in the men's singles event at the Winter Youth Olympic Games. He is the 2017–18 Junior Grand Prix Final silver medalist, a two-time JGP Austria champion, and the 2018 U.S. national junior champion. He finished within the top five at the 2022 World Championships and within the top six at the 2018 World Junior Championships. He is the former world record holder for the junior men's short program. He graduated from Columbia University in May 2024.
Stephen Gogolev is a Canadian figure skater. He is the 2023 CS Autumn Classic bronze medalist and the 2019 Canadian national silver medalist.
Sophia Schaller is an Austrian figure skater. She is the 2018 Sarajevo Open champion, the 2019 Santa Claus Cup bronze medalist, the 2017 Austrian junior national silver medalist, and a six-time Austrian national medalist in singles.
Gabriella Izzo is an American-born pair skater who currently competes with Luc Maierhofer for Austria. Together, they are the 2024 Ice Challenge champions.
Alicia Fabbri is a Canadian ice dancer. With her skating partner, Paul Ayer, she is the 2024 Canadian national bronze medalist. At the junior level, she is the 2019 Canadian national junior silver medalist and the 2019 Bavarian Open junior silver medalist. They placed in the top nine at the 2019 World Junior Championships.
Arlet Levandi is an Estonian figure skater. He is the 2022 Tallink Hotels Cup champion and a two-time Estonian national silver medalist. At the junior level, he is the 2022 European Youth Olympic Festival champion, the 2021 JGP France II silver medalist, the 2021 JGP Slovenia silver medalist, and a 2020 Winter Youth Olympic champion in the team event. Levandi is the first men's singles skater from Estonia to win a Junior Grand Prix medal.
Peter Beaumont is an English ice dancer, who competes internationally for Canada. With his skating partner, Nadiia Bashynska, he is a two-time World Junior bronze medalist, 2022–23 Junior Grand Prix Final champion, a four-time ISU Junior Grand Prix medallist, and the 2023 Canadian Junior champion.
