Skin in the Game is an EP release by the Canadian hard rock band Helix released in the fall of 2011. Consisting of four new songs and one cover, it is their 23rd official release, and their 3rd EP. It replaces a previously announced greatest hits CD to be titled Running Wild in the 21st Century. The new tracks recorded for that CD ended up on this release instead.

Helix (band) Hard rock band

Helix is a Canadian hard rock and heavy metal band. They formed in 1974, and are best known for their 1984 single "Rock You". The original lineup was formed by drummer Bruce Arnold, and consisted of lead vocalist Brian Vollmer, guitarists Ron Watson and Rick "Minstrel" Trembley, keyboardist Don Simmons, and bassist Keith "Bert" Zurbrigg. However, their most well known lineup, and the one that recorded "Rock You", was the 1980s version of the band: Vollmer on vocals, accompanied by guitarists Brent "The Doctor" Doerner and Paul Hackman, bassist Daryl Gray, and drummer Greg "Fritz" Hinz. The history of the band has been marked by many lineup changes, with Vollmer being the sole constant member and only remaining member of the original lineup. Although Hackman was killed in a tour bus accident in 1992, the surviving members of the 1980s lineup reunited in 2009 for an album and have continued to tour since 2011. Watson died in 2019.

Joe Preston (bassist)

Joe Preston is an American rock music bassist and a former band member of Earth, Melvins, Men's Recovery Project, The Need and High on Fire. Preston has also played with Sunn O))), and has a solo project called Thrones. In 2007, he joined Harvey Milk in the studio for the recording of Life... The Best Game in Town and toured with them during their 2008 US and European tours. He is the uncle of actor Dominic Janes.

Seaweed is an American band from Tacoma, Washington who were active throughout the 1990s. Their style of music is a combination of various rock subgenres, including grunge and post-hardcore.

Sean Kelly is a Canadian musician living in Toronto, currently playing guitar with Nelly Furtado and Lee Aaron. He founded the Toronto-based glam rock band Crash Kelly, and is the band's lead singer and guitarist. Kelly was a member of Canadian rock band Helix, playing bass guitar. He stayed with them for most of 2009 at which time joined Furtado's band on guitar. He is also guitarist for the Toronto rock group 69 Duster, which he co-founded with the ex-singer for Images in Vogue, Dale Martindale. He has done session guitar work for other bands as well, including Neil Leyton's 2003 album, Midnight Sun, and was a member of Jeff Pearce's band Rye. Kelly has also collaborated with Gilby Clarke, Rough Trade, Rudy Sarzo, Coney Hatch, and Canadian Brass.

Jack Rose was an American guitarist originally from Virginia and later based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. Rose is best known for his solo acoustic guitar work. He was also a member of the noise/drone band Pelt.

Crystal Lake is a Japanese metalcore band from Tokyo, formed in 2002. The band comprises guitarist Yudai Miyamoto and vocalist Ryo Kinoshita with support of bassist Mitsuru and drummer Gaku Taura, who is a former member of Nocturnal Bloodlust. After Shinya Hori's departure, Miyamoto is the only member of the original line-up who remains in the band. Crystal Lake have released five studio albums. Their latest studio album, Helix, was released on 28 November 2018.

My Wicked Twin

My Wicked Twin are a Canadian hard rock band from Kitchener, Ontario that formed in 2008. They have their genesis in an earlier band called Brent Doerner's Decibel. Revamped as My Wicked Twin, they now consist of Brent Doerner of Helix, his twin brother Brian Doerner. Brent and Brian Doerner had been playing music together since the age of 8. My Wicked Twin's 1st album 'Decibel Music' released 2016 with 9 songs. In 2018 the band released 'Twin Turbo' with 8 songs. New in 2020 the band released '3 Engines' with 10 songs.

New Dreams For Old 84:98 was released in 1999 by Eagle Records. It is a jewel cased compilation album consisting of various Gary Numan rare single mixes and b-sides from the years 1984-1998 (*) in non-chronological order.

The Power of Rock and Roll is a CD released by heavy metal band Helix in 2007. It is Helix' 10th full-length studio album and 19th album released overall. It compiled all 7 tracks from their previous independent release, the EP Get Up! and four new songs. It was released by EMI on July 21, 2007 in Canada, August 20, 2007 in the UK, and September 4, 2007 in the United States. The title track was chosen as the theme song for the 2007 Sweden Rock Festival.

Get Up! is a CD released by heavy metal band Helix in 2006. It was Helix' first official EP, and their 18th official release. It was released independently by Brian Vollmer's Dirty Dog Records. All 7 tracks would be re-released internationally on the 2007 full-length album The Power of Rock and Roll.

"Rock You" is a hard rock song written by Bob Halligan, Jr., and the first track from Helix's 1984 album Walkin' the Razor's Edge. It is best known for its call and response refrain of "Gimme an R, O, C, K." It peaked at number 27 on the RPM Pop Chart in Canada, although it received much higher levels of play on Canadian rock radio stations, but no national rock track chart exists for Canada for this time period.

Paul Wayne Hackman was a Canadian guitarist who performed with the rock band Helix from 1976 until his death in a road accident. Among the hits which contain his playing are the #32 Canadian single "Rock You" and the #20 mainstream Canadian rock single "Deep Cuts the Knife", which he co-wrote with Bob Halligan Jr..

"This Is the Day" is a song written by Matt Johnson and originally released as a single by his band The The on 2 September 1983. It reached number 71 in the UK Singles Chart. A version of the song was included on the band's debut album Soul Mining, released in October 1983.

All Out is the first extended play by virtual girl group K/DA. The EP was released on November 6, 2020, through Riot Games and Stone Music Entertainment. The album contains five songs which feature vocals from the original line-up (G)I-dle, Madison Beer, and Jaira Burns plus a variety of influential singers, such as Bea Miller, Wolftyla, Lexie Liu, Kim Petras, Aluna, Bekuh Boom, TWICE, and Annika Wells. Each song was produced by one of the fictional members of the group.
