Skinny Girl in Transit is a Nigerian Comedy webseries by NdaniTV. The first episode was released on NdaniTV's YouTube page on 16 Jul 2015. [2] The idea for the series was pitched by Temi Balogun. [3] The series returned to NdaniTV for its fifth season on November 9, 2018 after being on hiatus for over a year. The series returned again for the sixth season, the first episode of season 6 aired on February 14, 2020.
Skinny Girl in Transit is a web series produced by Ndani TV, and as the name implies, it is a comedy about a young Nigerian woman and her efforts to lose weight. [2] In the pilot episode, Tiwalade, played by Abimbola Craig, is woken up from a pleasurable dream by her mother, played by Ngozi Nwosu. Her mum wastes no time in informing her that the Holy Spirit ministered to her and the message conveyed was that Tiwalade should lose weight, therefore furthering her hope of finding a husband. Tiwalade's mum performs a series of dramatic gestures and makes several grand statements to emotionally blackmail Tiwalade into agreeing to lose weight. And Tiwalade, who is aware that she is overweight, thinks ‘why not, how hard could it be? However, losing weight turns out to be more strenuous than she originally assumed. In addition, Tiwalade has to deal with a mother who is like a dog with a bone, a sister, played by Sharon Ooja, who is pretty, slim and shallow, and a love-life that is less than appealing.
Gidi Up is a Nigerian television and web drama series starring OC Ukeje, Deyemi Okanlawon, Somkele Iyamah, and Titilope Sonuga in lead roles. The series was created by Jadesola Osiberu and executively produced by Lola Odedina. It is produced by Ndani TV and sponsored by GTBank. Owing to unknown reasons, the show was not picked up for a third season. The show was cancelled after two seasons. Episodes are first aired online through Ndani.tv web channel, and the first episode was aired on 20 February 2013.
The first season of Gidi Up was originally broadcast on ndani.tv in 2013; the first episode aired on 20 February 2013 and the concluding episode on 16 April 2013. The season is directed by Jadesola Osiberu and it consists of eight episodes, each with a length of not more than ten minutes. The season shows "how Tokunbo, Eki, Yvonne and Obi deal with love, sex and making a living in one of Africa's biggest cities". The second season of the series however has a length of thirty minutes per episode and was broadcast on television; all the episodes of season 1 was combined as a 52-minute pilot episode for the second season on television.

Abimbola Craig is a Nigerian Nollywood actress and producer that starred as Tiwalade in Skinny Girl in Transit. She originally was to be the producer of Skinny Girl in Transit but ended up being the lead. Since season 1, Abimbola has gone ahead to not only act as lead but has also produced Season 2 - Season 6 of SGIT. Craig Also co-produced the Box office movie “Sugar Rush” in 2019, alongside Jadesola Osiberu.
