Timini Egbuson is a Nigerian film actor. [1] He is known for his roles in popular TV series, Tinsel and top-grossing 2023 movie, A Tribe Called Judah. [2]

Biography

Timini was born in Bayelsa State in the south-south region of Nigeria and is the younger brother of actress Dakore Akande. [3] He got his primary school education from Greenspring Montessori, The Afro School and St. Catherine's. He attended Adebayo Mokuolu College, Lagos State, Nigeria. He studied psychology in the University of Lagos. [4] He graduated in the year 2011. He started his acting career in 2010, on M-net's soap opera Tinsel. At the 2020 AMVCA awards, Timini won the Best Actor in a drama for his role in Elevator baby. [5]

In April 2020, he joined several actors like Jemima Osunde, Nick Mutuma and Lerato Walaza along with several actors from Kenya, South Africa, Nigeria, and the Ivory Coast to help with the campaign to stop the spread of COVID-19. It was achieved through a 60-part miniseries of MTV Shuga, which was initiated in order to raise awareness in the global fight to flatten the COVID-19 curve. [6]

Introducing the Kujus is a 2020 Nigerian comedy-drama film directed by Biodun Stephen and produced by Winifred Okpapi. The film stars Bisola Aiyeola, who co-produced the film. It also features Timini Egbuson, Femi Jacobs, Bimbo Ademoye, Sophie Alakija and Mimi Onalaja and is set in Badagry. The movie focuses on one young woman's love for her family, and how this love reunites her family and ends old feuds. It was released on 27 November 2020. Shuga Naija is an MTV series that highlights the lifestyle of youths from different backgrounds and education on Sex and Sexual Transmitted Disease, Health among others. The sixth season of the MTV Shuga Naija is set in metropolitan area of Lagos where people from different part of the area living as residents and some for business and employment purposes. This interesting new season comes with a lot of complications, friendship ties about to broken, families about to tier down due to secrets. The season primarily focus on educating especially young people on Sex Education, Family Planning, Contraception, HIV prevention among others. MTV Shuga is produced by produced by award-winning writer/filmmaker Chris Ihidero, and Emma Uduma of SMAT Media.

<i>Superstar</i> (2021 film) 2021 Nigerian film

Superstar is a 2021 Nollywood film released on 29 December 2021 by Inkblot Productions. The film stars an ensemble cast including Nancy Isime, Deyemi Okanlawon, Timini Egbuson, Daniel Etim Effiong, and Eku Edewor. Superstar was jointly produced by Inkblot Productions and FilmOne Studios, marking the ninth collaboration between the two studios.
