Skull Lake is a lake located on Vancouver Island east of head of Pipestem Inlet and west of Effingham Inlet. [1]
An inlet is a indentation of a shoreline, such as a small arm, bay, sound, fjord, lagoon or marsh, that leads to an enclosed larger body of water such as a lake, estuary, gulf or marginal sea.
Hamilton Inlet is a fjord-like inlet of Groswater Bay on the Labrador coast of the Canadian province of Newfoundland and Labrador. Together with Lake Melville, it forms its province's largest estuary, extending over 140 km (87 mi) inland to Happy Valley-Goose Bay and primarily draining the Churchill River and Naskaupi River watersheds. Lake Melville is generally considered a part of Hamilton Inlet and extends west of the deep, narrow passage at the community of Rigolet.
Rivers Inlet is a fjord in the Central Coast region of the Canadian province of British Columbia, its entrance off Fitz Hugh Sound, about 125 km (78 mi) southwest of the community of Bella Coola and about 65 km (40 mi) north of the northern tip of Vancouver Island and the western entrance of the Queen Charlotte Strait.
Baker Lake is a lake in the Kivalliq Region, Nunavut, Canada. It is fed by the Thelon River from the west and the Kazan River from the south. It outflows into Chesterfield Inlet. The lake is approximately 1,887 km2 (729 sq mi) in size. It has several named bays, and a few islands.
Toba Inlet is one of the lesser, but still principal, inlets of the British Columbia Coast. It is fourth in the series north from the 49th parallel which begins with Burrard Inlet, which is the harbour for the city of Vancouver. Between it and Jervis Inlet to its east, however, there is a freshwater fjord, Powell Lake, which has been augmented by a small hydro project to supply power to the large pulp mill at Powell River, the principal town of the Malaspina Peninsula of the upper Sunshine Coast. Klahoose 1 Reserve, of the Klahoose First Nation is at the mouth of Toba River at the Head of Toba Inlet. Toba Inlet and the Toba Valley is home to many grizzly bears.
Klewnuggit Inlet Marine Provincial Park is a provincial park in British Columbia, Canada, located on the east side of Grenville Channel, 100 kilometres (62 mi) southeast of Prince Rupert, in the Range 4 Coast Land District.
Luktvatnet is a lake that lies in the northern part of the municipality of Vefsn in Nordland county, Norway. The 3.76-square-kilometre (1.45 sq mi) lake lies between the mountains Korgfjellet and Lukttinden, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) south of the village of Elsfjord. The European route E6 highway passes along the northern shore of the lake.
Nedre Veikvatnet (Norwegian) or Vuolep Viejekjávrre (Lule Sami) is a lake that lies in the municipality of Sørfold in Nordland county, Norway. The 2.27-square-kilometre (0.88 sq mi) lake lies about 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) southeast of the village of Mørsvikbotn. Nedre Veikvatnet has an inlet from the nearby lake Øvre Veikvatnet, and an outlet that connects to another nearby lake Kobbvatnet.
Kviteseidvatn or Kviteseidvatnet is a lake in the municipality of Kviteseid in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The 15.76-square-kilometre (6.08 sq mi) lake is part of the Telemark Canal and lies in the Skien watershed. The lake's water level was first regulated in 1892.
Goksjø is a lake in the municipalities of Sandefjord, Larvik and Andebu in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. Goksjø is 5 km from north to south, and has a circumference of 20 km. At its deepest, Goksjø is no deeper than 26 meters. Goksjø has an elevation of 28 meters above sea level. It is the largest lake in Sandefjord, and the third-largest in Vestfold County. It is surrounded by rural agricultural lands, and flooding occurs on a regular basis.
Chain O'Lakes State Park is a 2,793-acre (1,130 ha) Illinois state park at the inlet of the Fox River into the Chain O'Lakes in Lake and McHenry counties, in the suburban wildlife of Chicago, Illinois, United States.
Chesterfield Inlet is an inlet in Kivalliq Region, Nunavut, Canada. It is an arm of northwestern Hudson Bay, and the end point of the Thelon River after its passage through Baker Lake. Cross Bay, a large widening of the inlet, occurs 30 kilometres (19 mi) east of Baker Lake. There are several islands located within the inlet.
Galtsjøen is a lake on the border of the municipalities of Rendalen and Engerdal in Innlandet county, Norway. The 3.5-square-kilometre (1.4 sq mi) lake is considered the headwaters of the river Femundselva which flows south into Sweden. The lake inlet is through the Galtstrømmen which comes from the small lake Galthåen which in turn has an inlet from the lake Isteren and Femund. The lake Sølensjøen lies about 2.5 kilometres (1.6 mi) to the west of Galtsjøen.
Nippletop is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. The mountain is part of the Colvin Range. Nippletop is flanked to the northeast by Dial Mountain. To the east, it faces Dix Mountain across Hunters Pass, and to the west it faces Mount Colvin across Elk Pass.
Macomb Mountain is a mountain located in Essex County, New York. The mountain is named after Maj. Gen. Alexander Macomb (1782–1841), who won acclaim during the War of 1812 at the Battle of Plattsburgh, and served as Commanding General of the United States Army (1828–1841).

Mount Arthur is a mountain located at the Queen Reach arm of the Jervis Inlet within the Pacific Ranges of the Coast Mountains in British Columbia Canada. The mountain was named during the 1860 survey by HMS Plumper who charted all of the area and named the mountain after Prince Arthur William Patrick who was the seventh son of Queen Victoria and Prince Albert of England.
Smith Sound is a sound on the Central Coast of British Columbia, Canada, located to the south of Rivers Inlet and between the Queen Charlotte Strait region (S) and Fitz Hugh Sound (N).
The East Inlet Trail in Rocky Mountain National Park, Colorado, was established in 1913 to provide access from Grand Lake to a series of lakes 6 miles (9.7 km) to the east of Grand Lake. The trail originates at the east stream inlet to Grand lake: confusingly, it is close to the west portal of the Alva B. Adams Tunnel which conveys water from the west side of the Continental Divide under the park to the east slope of the Rocky Mountains. The trail was developed further in the 1920s, but was still considered to be in poor condition. In the 1930s further improvements were made, and in 1934 workers from the Public Works Administration rebuilt the section between Lone Pine Lake and Lake Verna. In 1940 workers from the Civilian Conservation Corps improved three miles (4.8 km) of trail beyond Adam Falls, building causeway sections through swampy areas. The trail was rebuilt again in 1970, and was improved between 2000 and 2003 with stone steps and handrails at Adam Falls.
The North Inlet Trail, in Rocky Mountain National Park near Grand Lake, Colorado, was built up from lesser pathways and rebuilt during 1926 to 1931 into its course that mostly continues to today. The trail runs from the North Inlet feeder into Grand Lake, up 11.5 miles to Flattop Mountain. Part or all of it has also been known as Grand Lake Trail, and as Flattop Trail. A 2.8 mile spur trail called Nokoni-Nanita Spur is also included.
